Discussion: North Korea Details Plan To Fire Missile Salvo Toward Guam

Probably just bluffing but if not, that deserves a military response.

Oh goody! Now he’s playing thermonuclear chicken with a country where death is one of the better options. And bonus points for forcing Japan into the game. NK has the advantage here with their willing ability to create disorder and chaos to get their way. They are obviously Republicans.

Our response should be that, if you do, we will make you flat, warm, and glow in the dark.

Where did I get the mistaken idea that playing “chicken” went out of fashion around late puberty.

Oh, wait. Fat, spoiled toddlers never reached puberty.

Never mind.

This is why you should never let children play with loaded guns. I hope someone changes the nuclear launch codes and doesn’t tell little Donnie.

China will have the same response for us.

Not as long as we are their largest trading partner.

There are places on Earth where money is of no value because there is nothing available to buy.

Chernobyl being one of them

This would be a surgical strike by NK (if they even carry it out). No harm done to anyone other than a show of force. What would the US response be? Throw a couple of missiles off NK’s coast?

Given their record, it’s a seriously dicey propositition to believe that 4 out of 4 missiles are going to function properly in a coordinated launch. But there isn’t a whole lot we can do without triggering something interesting. And if we intercept those missiles, we give them potentially valuable intelligence.

Other thing: this would be a significant portion of their missile production to date.
