I recall the endless criticisms from Dems that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi used to endure when the truth is both were very good at their jobs. We now see what it looks like when less talented legislators and negotiators fill these same posts.

Despite being sidelined by the President’s move, Cramer — who made the comments on board Air Force One Wednesday evening on his way back from his visit to his home state with the President — said he trusts Trump.

You mean you think Two Scoops believes December is about when he’ll need to threaten to pull the Default Trigger in order to get Mueller to go easy on him? That won’t work.
You’re right about the general point, but I expect a negotiated settlement when some or all of the Mueller findings are being made public. You’re also right that Mueller himself won’t play ball. I won’t have the timing for my HYPOTHESIS set until the bill is passed, if then.
The more Trump can ball up his misdeeds with the public welfare, the better off he and his handlers are.
ETA: Per today’s post, the Democrats “hope to finalize an agreement with Trump by December” on abolition of the debt ceiling. Doesn’t say when in December so I’m assuming Trump’s Parting Gifts will stall in late December and negotiations will be completed when everybody comes back in January.
If, a big if, nothing drastic comes from the investigators February will see a new President.
