They survived because they didn’t have to share a tree with any transgendered women.
Amazing story and glad they’re safe.
Just have to point out that it’s easy to hate Government, but they’re there for you when you really need them to save your bacon. Congratulations to NZ officials as well as the US Embassy.
Good thing they didn’t have the HEP L gun
Do you think NC will ever live this down? I hope not.
If there’s one thing the Boy Scouts are good for it’s telling people that when they’re lost to “hug a tree”. Fer Gawd’s sake, don’t keep moving just to be moving! Especially when you get to a slope that’s too steep to climb back if you need to. “Hug a tree!”
How does someone with a double degree use the nonexistent word “disorientated”?
So, one big one little criticism of the women, but thankfully they’re OK.
Now, for the story itself - does it matter that they are from NC?
The NC’ers that did this I hope not, unless the admit their wrong and try to right it. The ones of us that don’t think like this I hope will be seen for the open minded folk we are. This all came about at the state level because the folks at the city level were trying to stand up for folks rights. I think what you’ll find in NC like all states, people that live in or near bigger cities are fairly open minded and progressive. The folks that live in smaller towns or rural areas are the ones that are more separatist. And the State level republicans were trying to cater to the rural folks, especially near election time.
