It’s who they are. It’s what they do. There’s no making deals with them. Making a deal with them is just a sign of weakness.

In the days leading up to Wednesday’s special session, Charlotte city councilors and Republican state legislators had seemingly reached a deal: If Charlotte scaled back its non-discrimination ordinance, Republican majorities in both chambers of the state legislature would repeal HB2.

So.

The Charlotte City Council decided to act in good faith by repealing their ordinance only to see the state legislators renig on their end of the deal. Now that’s what the GOP calls a bargain!!!

Speaking of bargains hows about some of these fine deals?

So when will the council put their ordinance back into place?

What, you’re saying the power-crazed racist bigots in the NC legislature can’t be trusted? Next I suppose you’ll be try to claim that they have different laws when a Dem governor is in office than when a Republican governor is serving. Come on, this is just crazy talk.

When are the Democrats going to learn. They don’t do ANYTHING they say. You can’t trust them on these things. Garland should be nominated - they would have done it already. Single payer should have been passed -= they would have done that to if it was something they wanted. Just like they are going to make changes to health care and Medicare . Come on Democrats. Get some balls!

You’d think they would have figured that out a long time ago.

The LGBT community… the people that comprise it …

have shown to be some of the kindest… giving. … loving … caring … hopeful … gentle … compassionate … and trustworthy people in our society … ( just a partial list )

So the religious community decides they’d better shun them ----

Stands the belief that faith is more powerful than fear on it’s head … doesn’t it ? —

And the wonder is why Christianity is on the decline …

I would add to your list: patient and dramatic

Never trust the GOP.

yes—when are they going to learn. Never. Trust. Republicans. This is doubly true in North Carolina. What makes you think that the same crew that just got finished screwing over the incoming Governor can be taken at their word?

Why are elected Democrats so earnestly naive? Why are they stupid enough to trust any Repugnant-can to honor any sort of deal, or have any principles, or even honesty? The Repugnant-cans are a bunch of power-hungry hypocrites fanatically pursing their bigoted, willfully ignorant ideology, with any regard to facts or any semblance of responsible governing…

The backlash these idiots are generating for themselves is going to make the Teatroll tantrums look like a fart in a tornado.

However, I will note the following: fuck you, Charlotte Dems, you gullible fucking dupes. Do your asses hurt?

Because the second they try to give Reps a taste of their own medicine the Reps cry “no fair!” and whine about how the Dems are a bunch of meanie heads who won’t let them stay up past their bedtime. The Dems have to be mommy 24-7 or else they’re crooks.

I would think that businesses now have all the evidence they need to up and leave in droves. I would also think that a couple of years without any ACC championship or NCAA March Madness games in NC will result in an uproar.

Or if the NCAA would remove any NC teams from playing basketball at all in any NCAA game would result in a change.
