Discussion: No One Is Following California's Drought Rules To Save Water

Discussion for article #236029

Are we sure that “drought” is not the norm and that the rain/snow for that part of the country is not an anomaly?

Some local water departments call the proposal unrealistic and unfair. They say achieving steep cuts could cause declining property values, restrictions on filling pools and washing cars and higher water bills.

Only in California would people be complaining that they can’t water their lawns, wash their cars, and fill their pools when the drought situation is such a threat.
