Discussion for article #236365
You just know Kyrillos was that guy in the back of everybody’s high school classroom who only opened his mouth to say “Why do we have to know that?” when he wasn’t asking “Will that be on the test?”
Apparently Republicans in New Jersey have nothing better to do then enter resolutions on things they don’t understand. Out fucking standing, New Jersey voters.
Voting Republican is Tribal Act.
Even if it destroys the members of the Tribe
WHy DOes LIbtards HATE aMERica ExcePTIONALIsm?
If you “Balance” it you are biasing it. History cannot be treated that way if you want it to reflect the truth.
America you are going to pay for this.
A true patriot sees the bad things in their nation and tries to fix them. A false patriot tries to hide the bad things and only talk about the good. Guess which the Republicans are.
I hoped this idiocy wouldn’t cross the border into my home state. It’s just like any state. Where there’s money, there are Republicans. Where there are ordinary folk, Democrat. Good news is, both the NJ Senate and State Assembly are Democrat. So, I can’t see this making it to Governor Fat Dick Head’s desk.
…dumbass politicians are elected by dumber-assed voters.
The intended consequence.
I think this is a national effort by the GOP leadership. They are looking for someone in every state to introduce this legislation. Call it indoctrination, or deliberate maneuvering to keep the electorate misinformed. Because a misinformed electorate votes Republican. See Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma…etc. As I said earlier, State Senate and Assembly are blue here in Jersey. So, there is a safeguard in place here…umm…hopefully.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
See: Jeb Bush
From now on you’ll be history.
You’ll be history, you’ll be history, you’ll be history.
And we will glorify your name.
You will be a bust, be a bust, be a bust

“The controversy over the AP U.S. History exam seeped into New Jersey on
Thursday when a Republican lawmaker introduced a resolution condemning
the course as “biased” and “negative.””
Most of history is biased. It gets codified by the winners. Losers are mostly ignored. So whining about biased history by a GOPer is pointless. Heck those guys make up stuff all the time to fit their preconceived notions of what history should be.
…while omitting and minimizing many of the positive aspects."
Such as?
I think it’s very important like the vast majority of people to know our past .the good.the bad and the ugly warts and all thats the only way not to repeat the shit we did in the past…these republicons want to look at history tru rose colored glasses…like we have never ever done anything wrong …I got news for them we have some crappy stuff in our nations past and glossing over it doesnt do anyone any good
Don’t Know Much About History ~~~~~Sam Cooke
The opening song for GOP chaired eejoocation committee.
Meeting is closed with “Another Brick in the Wall”…Pink Floyd.
Why do conservatives condemn American history? Is our history not the foundation of our exceptionalism?
Side note: Why doesn’t Google Chrome recognize exceptionalism as a word?
If you want to “balance” all the negative aspects of history, you don’t actually want to know the truth. What you should do is take a step back and ask why hearing criticism, especially justified criticism, is so difficult for you.
I did not see ALEC mentioned in this but they are the ones writing this whitewash they want as “history” taught instead of the truth. They want to indoctrinate the kids not educate them. We have got to vote everyone of these people out of power before they destroy every vestige of our Republic.
Of course this Rethug is doing this. He’s only one teabag away from a full steeped pot.
He’s gotta make quota before the next election for Pete’s sake.
