Discussion: Nixon Slams Mailer Questioning Her Support For Jewish People

Assuming these allegations are true, Cuomo should hold a press conference and publicly appologize, in addition to firing those responsible. It won’t likely affect the primary results so man up Cuomo.

Our side should always be better than the Republicans who accused Bridget McCain of being an illegitimate half-black baby, instead of the late Senator’s adopted daughter.

I hate that embedded in this discussion is the assumption that criticism of Israeli policis and actions are the equivalent of antisemitism.

That new bridge Cuomo renamed after his father? It will always be The Tappan Zee to me. It was named for the Indian tribe that lived on that land for centuries before white people showed up.

Yeah, after reading about how Cindy McCain came about adopting Bridget, it changed how I thought about her.

I drive across it twice a day. It’s the TZ to me.

Actually, it’s not about Israel. It’s about ultra-Orthodox schools getting state funding without having to meet minimum state standards. Their schools turn out graduates who can’t speak English and who can’t operate in the workforce.

Guys like power-mad, sleazy, back-stabbing Andrew Cuomo only reinforce the stereotype that both parties are the same. But Democrats are required to vote for him because not doing so would be “divisive” or “hand victory to the Republican’ts”, and besides, there is nothing you can do about it, so sit down, shut up and get back in line, plebe!

Filed under “examples of why I will never register for a party or donate to them.”

Can you point to a source because I’ve seen absolutely no one say Democrats need to vote for Cuomo to foster party unity. In fact, I’ve often seen the opposite where New Yorkers are saying they’re voting for Nixon or hope she does well because Cuomo is so sleazy.

Postcards to Voters joined the campaigns of multiple NY Democratic primary challengers because they were part of Cumo’s IDC Deal. I wrote dozens of postcards for these Dem on Dem challengers.

All well and good, I don’t donate to the party either (tho I’m proudly a Democrat because I think we’re more than those orgs) but that person is talking out their butt. No one is saying, “vote for Cuomo, ‘cause party unity”.

Are you in a completely*-open-primary state (e.g., Vermont), or does this mean you abjure the opportunity to help choose candidates?

.* Example of what I’d call incompletely open: In Texas, which has open primaries with runoffs, they stamp the party in whose primary you have voted on your reg. card so you can’t vote in the other party’s runoffs. Not exactly registering, but I don’t know whether you’d consider it beyond the pale as affiliating you with a party.
