So, question: if I’m cross-posting from something I put on Twitter, is it tacky to post a link to the tweet rather than just retyping the content, or is it plagerism-like dishonesty to retype the content as if I had only posted it here?

I don’t know twitter and posting etiquette - sorry. But, I’m inclined to think that I would gladly give up the few programs I watch AND we would all be better off if we reverted back to the TV options you described. It’s sad, but there is little credibility left in many of the cable programs that I used to think provided insight and commentary that provoked genuine, worthwhile debate.
