Discussion for article #246673
You thought he was most likely to take down Trump based onâŚwhat? Fundraising?
Sheer bulk
Because the NH Union Leader does not condone pandering of any kind.
I think they thought they needed a bully to stand up to the bully. But bullies donât fight each other, they gang up to pick on the little guys.
Like it matters now. hahahahahahahahaha
Ever get the feeling youâve been cheated?
No shit, jackass. You thought bullying equals strength. Wrong. Although to be fair, there is nobody in the Republican field worth endorsing. I guess the best of the really atrocious bunch would be Kasich, and heâs a moral defective. The Union Leader should have abstained from any Republican endorsement this year.
If they had any courage at all they would have admitted at the time that none of the Republican candidates were qualified and not endorsed any of them.
The Union Leaders underestimated how much of a political whore Porky Pig is. Porky would do anything, and I mean anything, to be the next Attorney General and Iâm sure Trump dangled that possibility in front of him. Trump is playing Porky Pig like a marionette.
Hey assholes, practically all of NJ was telling you that you didnât know shit about the man you endorsed, and you just outright ignored them. I would think his own constituency knew him a hell of a lot better than you ever did. Your excuses now just wonât wash.
Color CC desperate------ too many âbridgesâ burnedâŚor blocked.
And NJâers are thoroughly pissed about the $10M in lawyer fees .
I am giddy at the prospect of a perp-walk in his future.
Which is quite astonishing, really. With a field of 17 candidates, not one of them was capable.
When it comes to politics, the NH Union Leader should just keep repeating âwe were wrongâ.
For example, hereâs a Union Leader editorial from 2 weeks ago:
Donald Trumpâs erratic and unhinged campaign is expanding its appeal to fringe anti-American groups.
Trump has long had a following among the bottom feeders of the white nationalist movement, and regularly repeats and retweets their racist drivel.
But now Trump is reaching out to leftist wackos by echoing the libelous lie that President George W. Bush knew there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
âThey said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none. And they knew there were none,â Trump proclaimed on Saturday night.
Letâs leave aside for a moment that U.S. troops found massive stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons in Iraq, and that Saddam Hussein intentionally exaggerated the progress of his nuclear program. Claiming the Bush administration relied on faulty intelligence is reasonable. Claiming Bush knew the CIA was wrong is a left-wing fantasy
Gee i didnât see him kiss his ring but he sure did kiss his ass!!
Well, h&ll, we coulda told you endorsing Christie was a bad idea. But you did it anyway and now your reputation is damaged in a time when print media is already experiencing a massive credibility problem.
You took it upon yourself, with the endorsement. No one made you do it (unless of course there was a payment in advance, in which case you lose further points). It was entirely your decision.
Sorry you did this, but now you get to deal with the reaction.
Yeah, Iâm pretty sure that was their entire line of thinking.
There were so many people who wrote the Union Leader about their support of Christie â all Mr. âarrogantâ McQuaid needed to do was talk to the people of NJ about this @#$%^&* man before endorsing him. But McQuaid, who has has been backing losers for a very long time, just goes on doing his wrong thing. Trump said the Union Leader was a third-class, failing newspaper, and he was right.
maybe you should remind yourselves that anytime you endorse a republicon
Yes. This NJ Star Ledger editorial for one:
