Discussion: NFL's First Openly Gay Player: 'I'm Just The Only One Who's Open'

Discussion for article #231485

blah blah blah. Sam missed out on a big payday. Now he has to join the rest of us and get a real job. I mean, what’s left after an Oprah interview?

There are lots of gay people everywhere and always have been. Except, of course, for Iran.

I don’t know. I have a feeling that someone who had the courage to do this is going to end up a bit higher up on the ladder than you or I.

Isn’t that special.

I’m not getting this.

Sam is the first openly gay NFL player. Too bad others didn’t feel comfortable doing it before him. Doesn’t make them bad guys, doesn’t really make him a hero. But I really don’t get your disdain of him or your brushing off what he is doing.

Took a lot of guts to do what he did. But it’s not exactly a revelation that there are other gays in the NFL. There are gays in every profession, why would the NFL be different?

Too self-serving. Get tired of it all.

Then go watch “The Interview” Every news station in 'Murica is pimping it at least two minutes per segment this morning.

Great marketing ploy by SONY!!

Now That is self-serving!

“Now That is self-serving!”

Indeed! Real slick on Sony’s part. Japanese owned and American marketing! And instead of paying to watch Adam Sandler you get, for the same price, Sandler X 2! Plus patriotism and all that stuff.
