Discussion: NFL Thinks Banning 'Slap Ya Mama' Ad Will Fix Its Domestic Violence Problem

Discussion for article #226872

What is there to get about the brand? The name of the brand is 100% about slapping your mother because she can’t season as well as the seasoning they sell.

Here, let the two people who run the company explain to you why you would slap your mother:

Jeebus on a Triscuit! This is what happens in the homogenization of America.

A local colloquialism being misunderstood. Does the NFL realize that the saying “Tastes so good you’ll Slap Ya Mama” has nothing to do with domestic violence?

It has everything to do with suggesting that violence against women is totally fine, especially if they deserve for something like not being good cooks.

Never having heard of the brand before, I find it staggering that it exists with the name it has. And people actual think it is totally fine, no problem. Wow.

There are all sorts of things the NFL doesn’t understand the meaning of.

Like “non-profit”.

Or athletic scholarship

The NFL is a “Non-Profit” organization that makes billions each year glorifying violence.

TPM headline writer thinks s/he knows what the NFL thinks.

How about Castrate Ya Self for not cooking your own meals if you aren’t satisfied with what someone else is doing for you at no pay.

The NFL is against all unauthorized “virtual signage”, because it doesn’t reap the profits from them. It has nothing to do with the message. With professional sports, following the money trail is the surest way to find the desired destination.
