Super Bowl XLIX Champs*
The league cited the integrity of the game…
Hilarious.
The league also fined the Patriots $1 million
Comes out of petty cash.
At least he didn’t punch Giselle, then he’d receive a lot more-- oh wait.
If you privately asked Pats owner Robert Craft if this was too steep a price to win the AFC title game?
You may not get a verbal reply-- but the glint in his eye and the wry smile should get the message across.

The Patriots will pay that fine by firing or reducing the salaries of the groundskeepers. Thanks Obama!
The NFL also indefinitely suspended the two equipment staffers who carried out the plan, including one who called himself “The Deflator.”
Wait, so Brady gets a four game suspension and the guys who were put in the unenviable position of having to do what Brady told them to do get suspended indefinitely? Sounds just like corporate America where the head honchos get slaps on the wrists while the little guys get thrown under the bus and lose their livelihoods.
Thanks Ronald Reagan!
Maybe the various organizations behind professional boxing can now figure out a way to keep a convicted domestic abuser from earning $100,000,000 in one match.
You wish.
Listen to people who know. They all say the Patriots would have stomped the Colts using Nerf balls, using bowling balls, using any kind of ball you like.
Suggesting the Pats needed help in that merely reveals your ignorance about football.
And it’s Kraft. Not Craft.
Yessiree-- sport reveals character.
If you don’t round it off, Mayweather took home $179,808,511 and the “loser” took home $119,872,340. Boxing used to be a blue collar spectator sport and sometimes the fighters were virtuous.
Evidently Brady thought they did. Then again, he’s a professional, so what does he know about football?
Neither the fine nor the suspension will stick. This is just Godell pretending he has a dick to swing around. I will fully admit that I don’t know whether Brady is guilty of any wrong doing but if you actually read the Wells Report, neither does Ted Wells. That report does not offer any definitive proof of anything other than the ineptitude of the NFL. If Brady appeals this suspension and it ends up in court, he’ll win.
SO WHAT! Belicheat and the Patriots have no integrity. They got their ring. They’d do it again if it got them another SB. What does a measly ban/fine do in the grand scheme of thing?
Yeah. It’s like suggesting that Chris Christie needed the help of the mayor of Fort Lee.
Some people just don’t understand about winning.
Guess who doesn’t give a fuck about Brady or the Patriots.
The balls has zero to do with the outcome of that particular game. Zero. Nothing. And I am a NYer, so not a big time fan of Boston teams. However, it is likely this was not a one time deal of course. So the punishment is pretty much what I had said, fines for the team and a 4 game suspension for the person who benefited. Seems adequate and fair. It’s not a “forfeit the Super Bowl” situation, but also not a light slap on the wrist situation. This seems fair.
Now what the league needs to do is take control of the balls again. They never should have stopped, that should clearly be the responsibility of the league. Why it was stopped seems to be nothing more than the league office looking to save a few bucks.
