Discussion: NFL Commissioner Upholds Tom Brady's 4-Game Suspension

Discussion for article #238855

It was actually worse than that, according to a website called “Team Stream.” The commissioner indicated that Brady had his cell phones destroyed, despite knowledge of the pending investigation. In the legal business we call that willful destruction of evidence or intentional spoliation. Neither are good.

That’s why he was suspended. They actually did not find “evidence” linking him directly, so in a court of law he would have “skated” on criminal charges for the “crime”. But he would have been nailed for destroying evidence. The 4 game suspension seems quite fair. People who think he should not be suspended are being naive, people who think he should have been suspended for the year are not putting this in perspective. Frankly, I can’t believe the league was allowing teams to control the balls. That’s just nuts.
