Talk about a full time job. 24/7/365.
Are the dark clouds of stormy turmoil and despair finally lifting from the old grey lady?
This is long overdue, but better late than never. I hope Mr. Baquet is able to stick to this promise.
âŚand moving to Trump?
Iâll have to see it more to believe it
They are going to wear out the L, I, and E letters on their keyboards. Every story including Trumpâs words would by necessity have to include multiple lies.
So if I have this right it is now NEWS when a NEWS paper decides that it should accurately report the NEWS.
It is a sad commentary when making an anouncement that accuracy in reporting is a new policy.
There are a dozen or more Republicans who are now saying, âI guess it is better late than never?â
âPorcine Airways flight 001, is now boardingâ
Wow the NYT says they are going to do real journalism for a change or are they just going to let The Donald continue to âover-exaggerateâ?
Iâm really sad to say this, but Iâll believe it when I read it, or continue to read it. The Times has disgraced itself too many times this election season for me to take what Baquet says at face value.
How about the Times prove it by reviewing everything âfit to printâ starting from, oh, 6 months ago? That should keep them plenty busy.
Or my other favorite, âstretch the truth,â when there isnât even a germ of truth present. Saying that the moon is made of green cheese isnât âstretching the truth.â
It would probably be more efficient to note when he is telling the truth.
If itâs all the same to you all, Iâm going to take credit for this. I called them 2 days ago and threatened to cancel my subscription if they didnât start calling out Trump on his bullshit. Now this! Coincidence? Yes. My ego wanting to feel important? Definitely.
Sincerely,
the most powerful man in the world
If one is reporting on Trump, that would warrant a banner headline.
This NYTimes epiphany will burn about as long as a cheap wooden match.
It will just be spun as âLiberal Media BiasââŚ
Double plus ungoodâŚ
Dean Baquet, the executive editor of the Times, told the site the birther issue represents âoutright lying. And he lied over a long period. It is a real word and we will use it when warranted.â
Cool story bro.
âBlatantâ lies. What about apparent untruths? Inconsistencies? Deceptions through half-truth? Statements clearly untrue, but not susceptible to easy quantification (âtheyâre rapists, theyâre drug-users, and some I assume are good peopleâ)? Will those skate by?
Yes, Gray Lady, weâre lookinâ at you.
