Maybe the weather report should start including a GOP level of belief in climate change index: “Wed. cloudy and cool, with a climate change belief index of 23%. Thursday’s going to be hot and muggy though, with climate change belief index going all the way up to 31%. Back to you, Dave!”

That and what is it with these dumb fucks who think Climate Change is just one sided and that side is heat. Every coin has 2 sides, male/female, heads/tails, North/South, etc, etc. Climate Change is simply extreme weather and much like the extremes we are seeing recently.
… Buckets of rain and 50 miles away 2 foot of snow,
… No rain and 200 miles away buckets,
… Forests drying up, forests rotting away because of way more water than needed,
… Loads of snow and a state away dry as a bone,
… A years worth of rain in just a month in a local and then for the balance of the year nothing,
EXTREMES
Like where I live we have had 9 days this month 96 degrees or higher. And the weather service can not predict worth shit. Example, today they say high 80, well an hour ago it hit 89 and my home weather station is saying temps are going higher. And of those 9 days of 96+ the weather service has predicted mid-80s as daily highs. Last Sunday we were in a sever thunderstorm high winds watch and local TV weather was going 24/7 in panic mode, we got maybe 6 drops of rain, highs 96+ and winds barely moving the windsock… As I said extremes, average highs this time of year should be upper 70s.

Apparently these ignorant remarks are meant to take the focus off other travesties currently playing out in Albany. As a lifelong New Yorker, I can assure this dolt and everyone else in the legislature that New Yorkers are opposed to pollution of all kinds. Regardless of whether climate change is real or not, manmade or not, a liberal conspiracy or not - we want to be able to breathe the air and swim in the water (not to mention drinking the water, without fear of it bursting into flames as it apparently does in PA).

This year we are honored to host Dr. Clara Deser from the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Clara is an internationally recognized expert on global climate variability whose research is focused how interactions between the atmosphere, ocean and sea ice influence climate. Her presentation will focus current regional climate change in Europe and the US, and how much can be attributed to natural versus human causes. Clara’s work addresses a longstanding challenge for climate communicators – articulating the reasons for differences between projections of global scale climate change, which are strikingly consistent across climate models, and projections of regional change, which are not.
