Discussion for article #228712
Ugh, the kind of ad you run when you’re behind. Totally factual, but still wince-worthy.
I’m confused. Aren’t all GOP’ers disabled?
I’m sorry folks, but I don’t understand the hang wringing over this. I see it this way, Abbott’s disabled but he doesn’t give a fuck about disabled people. I see the irony in it.
She’s not stupid -she knows Abbott’s disabled. I see the point the ad is making.
The guy is being hypocritical in denying victims benefits he himself got. But, hey, if you call him on it, your are slimy.
Some republicans pull up the ladder of opportunity once they make it, others shove the wheelchair down the stairs. It’s mostly a difference in style.
What’s with the headline? Why shouldn’t she hit him on this issue? Would you write Braley Ad Hits Ernst on Women’s Rights Even Though She’s a Woman"?
This ad is no attack on Abbot, but on his past actions. He should know better, having been able to use the legal system to get relief for himself after his accident. Everyone deserves the same opportunity.
I am distancing myself from her.
You can’t argue with the truth; the truth shall set you free.
You’re making a mistake.
Do the new poll numbers in TX take into consideration that their voter ID law was struck down or are we still working under the assumption that like 5-10% of the minority population has been screwed?
Good ad, Abbot the ambulance chaser, made his bones and should have been called out on it as a hypocrite long ago.
The Davis campaign could have tried a more indirect and tactful way to mention his case: “The system worked for Greg Abbott, when he needed it. But as Attorney General, he worked to shut other Texans out of the same system . . .”
Wow it’s great to be here on foxnews.com!
Wait, what?
Wendy Davis is right! Greg Abbott is all about himself and nobody else.
I don’t have a problem with the ad. As her spokesperson stated, it’s focused on Abbott who sued after he was disabled but, doesn’t support others in similar situations. He’s a tiny little man, with an even smaller brain. If the people of Texas don’t get that it’s because they don’t want to.
I would probably agree that the ad should be fine-tuned if she wants it to be more effective.
Something like:
Even trees hate Greg Abbot.
You should, too!
It’s so very simple: Abbot is saying, For me but not for thee"… Typical RepubLIEclown hypocrisy… Kudos to Wendy Davis!
And a black heart and no soul.
