I think it is a very effective ad. First- shot of Clinton being smug- the people that donāt like Clinton hate that āsmarter than youā condescension. Which I have never understood- I want my president, surgeon, astronaught ect to be smarter than me, but thatās me not them. It then goes directly into her biggest weakenss which is the lies over the emails- though I am surprised they couldnāt work in the 30 K deleted emails, because who knew what they containedā¦ That would have been more effective, but as is it reminds people of Clinton Rules. Then you go into an actually legitimate criticism which is ISIS. And because Trump is a complete political newbie and anti-Republican establishment you canāt even paint him with blame over Iraq as starting the formation of ISIS. Then finish up with her calling 25% of American voters deplorable and bam- thatās a pretty effective ad. Now, it is late for him to be getting serious about ads, but it is right on schedule for going negative so in a way his campaign is smart. They get all the free media to give Trumps pro side and save all their cash for negatives.
