Yep. There it is.
Of course he was screwed if he didn’t report it and screwed if he did. What a tangled web we weave…

The form indicates that Trump is not required to disclose the expense. And, for what it’s worth, I don’t recall any previous President having disclosed payments to porn actresses, so I guess Donnie is just much more honest than the rest of them… unless you believe that Obama and the two Bushes were not horn-dogging porn actresses and Playboy Bunnies at every opportunity.

WTF is this hose bag doing sitting in the Oval Office?

We already knew that, Giuliani told us and Trump confirmed. But WTF , last year everybody wanted to give Michael Cohen money for no work . He probably tattoed ā€œ2017ā€ on his chest to remember the good times.

This entire regime is a reportable liability.

From the article: ā€œDespite Trump’s claim in a footnote attached to the disclosure that the payment was ā€œnot required to be disclosed as ā€˜reportable liabilitiesā€™ā€ — in other words, that Trump contests it was not technically a debt he owed Cohen — the Office of Government Ethics said differently.ā€

Shorter: Trump says one thing, ethical people disagree.

And if it wasn’t a debt, it was well over the amount given as a gift if it wasn’t reported on his taxes. His tax returns should show how he classified this payment, either as a payment owed or a gift given out of the goodness of his heart (which everyone knows, he hasn’t got one). Mueller will have his tax returns I suspect, even if he declares they’re under some kind of funky audit.

Gee, you mean Trump LIED, AGAIN!

When are Trup’s followers going to figure out that you cannot believe a thing he says?

His supporters like that he lies. He’s stickin’ it to the man. Oh, wait…What?

Was the payment note on a ā€œpost-itā€ note in sharpie ink??
ā€œI dunno nuthin’about datā€. ā€œAsk my lawyer, Michael Corleone … err… Cohen,… yeah, dat’s right… Cohen… But remembah, I barely knew da guy. Get it wrong an I’ll bust yer knee caps.ā€

Let’s focus on the real story here: Donald Trump owed a guy money, and then Trump actually paid him!

I, for one, admire that sort of honesty and decency.

He’s trapped like a rat. There’s no way to get out of this.

When i point out the various crimes and shady deald trump’s involved in the response i am getting from trump supporters is ā€œwhat about all the crimes and shady deals like that uranium thing Hillary was involved in.ā€
Trying to bridge the divide ain’t easy.

Not to downplay the legal implications here, but of course this also shows – once again – that Trump brazenly lied about reimbursing Cohen from his monthly retainer. Is there a single statement Trump or his spokespeople have made about the whole Daniels/Cohen payment imbroglio that hasn’t turned out to be a lie?

I am willing to bet that his lawyers told him to put in the footnote as a way to signal ā€œignoranceā€ when it comes to explaining last year’s omission. And he’ll exploit it to convince his slavering followers that he’s just a poor misunderstood guy trying to do the best he can…

Perhaps someone has said, at some point, ā€œThe president doesn’t believe he did anything wrong.ā€

Or, more succinctly, maybe ā€œWe’re not sorry.ā€

Is Rudy Guiliani paid for his ā€œlegalā€ services, or is he among the unpaid, like Ivanka and Jared? With family and friends like these folks, who needs enemies?

No footnote, no footnote, you are the footnote!
