Discussion: New Study Shows Americans Agree That Congress Is Too Easily Bought

At last! Something (most) Democrats and Republicans can agree on: Congress sucks.

Congress too easily bought? Why I read that Congress critters spend four hours a day, every day, dialing for dollars. Asking for bribes is hard work.

I think not. I’ve got more than a few relatives (the sacred Blue Collar type that vote GOP) who loudly proclaim that corporations require First Amendment rights as well. To them it is the deep pockets of Soros that is ruining everything.

As easy to buy as a Marco Rubio… no background checks required

We can buy them back, tainted as they are, at the ballot box. Between now and November, 2018, We, the People, have to show up to take it back.

Simple formula. Trump is giving us all the help we need, his daily scandals and weekly emergencies set the stage for a huge blue tsunami, we just have to take that to the polls, not just the streets, no matter how you slice it.

Let’s level the playing field and place them under the same set of rules we live by.
A good start would be mandatory ,random drug and alcohol tests before and after votes.

Not only before and after votes, anytime during the day, vote or no vote.

As it is timely and to the point of this article, and just downright awesome on so many levels, I am going to repost this tweet from one of the Parkland Survivors

We should change the names of AR-15s to “Marco Rubio” because they are so easy to buy.

We the people need to take some responsibility for this. A chunk of the money that politicians raise is to get re-elected. That is an expensive proposition because they most buy so much advertising and promotion . And THAT need is driven by that fact that the majority of the voters don’t pay attention, read and do their own research.

I had my Congress critter come up to me at a Fourth of July parade and try to shake my hand. I refused to touch it. I think it bothered him for a grand total of Never, until he started shaking hands with the people around him and I said “Don’t touch that hand! You don’t know where its been taking bribes from!”

I got a dirty look but that was all.
