Discussion: New San Diego Area Fire Adds To Devastating Southern California Blazes

Just drove through the San Diego fire area a week ago. I see a burnt Palm tree in this pic. I had forgotten how many Palm trees are around that whole end of the state.
Here in Colorado we seem to be in between everything. No hurricanes, earthquakes or fires of this magnitude.

I’ve lived threw that as a SoCal native, except hurricanes, and know what losing everything is like. The people that are fully covered still have at least a year before they get back into a home at their own place. Others may never get back to their pre-fire lives.

There were always fires, every season, but this is way out of the norm in terms of seasonal and intensity.
In m mind, this has to be climate change because I not only never heard of any major sort of fire in many of these areas, they are all far more intense than in the past.
