I had a three year contract with the State of NC back in the late 90’s, so was basically flying in on Monday’s and flying out on Fridays. Loved the state at that time, but have since watched it sink into a TeaParty cesspool, and have never been back.

We will and thanks! BTW - if you want some close to the ground political reporting from your old stomping ground check out Thomas Mills blog http://www.politicsnc.com/. As a bonus he’s running for the Senate and has a real shot.

Good point. I’m usually more clear on that. It’s the Republicans that have been obstructing.
Sure, they could break for Trump… if they have previously voted R, but there is no basis to know for whom they have previously voted. They could be a mixture of Reagan Dems (who have not voted R since 1988 or even 2000) and non white R’s who have usually voted R until they are presented with the R choice who makes no secret of his racism and bigotry.
And there is always the chance Trump wins the debates because expectations for him are so low, he could win by saying nothing and just not visibly drooling on the podium for two hours straight.
Yes. Correct. I should clarify by “Congress” I mean the GOP majority as presently constituted.
