Discussion: New Poll: After Hearing, Blasey Ford Seen As More Credible Than Kavanaugh

Charles Manson and John Wayne Gacy, even dead, are far more credible than Barf O’Kavanaugh.

And her lawyer just delivered a graceful parry to Grassley per the demand for more documentation.

Short and sweet is right.

Talk about calling GrAASley’s bluff in two sentences or less.

Perfect response. The “ex” Grassely is basing this request on has already been debunked. Jeez, they can’t even keep their liars on the line for more than a couple hours. Sad.

As always - thanks for un-embedding the docs from a tweet (on rare occasion I can get it to work right.)

To be generous - Trump (and the Political Operatives at the Federalist Society) dealt them a pretty reaking/rotting hand. Hell, even Yertle advised against Kavanaugh compared to the others on the list.

Short and sweet is right.

“Pithy” was what the older attorneys liked to call it.

I don’t know about anyone else, but when I went down to get lunch today, I spent $3 on the hard copy of the NYT of today’s date. I have kept (along with way too many books) over my life, copies of the NYT with memorable front pages. My office neighbor said he would wait to buy the one when Trump was removed from office.

Speaking about someone who’s not creditable…

I honestly think the NYT story about the extensive fraud Trump has been involved in, and the facts about where his money came from, is huge. Huge.

Bigly yuge for sure!

I agree. I also think very few people who support or are on the fence about him are going to read it, that no legal action will come out of it, and that all he’s got to do is laugh it off and it will be out of the news cycle in a day or two.

On the other hand, his attorney calling it grounds for a lawsuit gave me a biiiig smile.

I wouldn’t be so very sure that nothing will come of it.

There’s a chance his sister could lose her bench and even her law license. And Nixon was going to be impeached partly over tax evasion, but he resigned instead.

Since I can never tell what the most recent story is (thanks TPM posting software), I’m going to ask this everywhere:

A WSJ popup just said the FBI has finished their report and it would be given to the Senate tonight, but it vanished before I could click on it.

Anyone seen anything?

“Before Thursday’s hearing, 32 percent believed Blasey Ford was telling the truth, compared to 26 who believed Kavanaugh’s denial of the allegations and 42 who were unsure. That polling was conducted Sept. 22 through 24, before the Sept. 27 hearing.”

“After Thursday’s hearing — the poll was conducted on Monday — 45 percent believed Blasey Ford, compared to 33 percent who believed Kavanaugh and 22 percent who were unsure.”

I think that they should vote now.

If it goes their way on the floor, then they are going to have to explain to the middle.

If it flunks, then they’ll have to explain to a base, who will naturally not hold Trump accountable.

I agree. Plus it if goes their way, it will dampen that alleged new GOP voter enthusiasm that got worked up over Kavanaugh.

Somewhat doubt that, but I’m good with that too. Odds are, Junior Falwell and that lot will again be b—ing bout a firewall and that tale will be up against extremely pissed off 2016 blue voters who are still likely voters.
