Discussion: New Jersey Supreme Court Sides With Christie In Public Worker Pension Battle

Discussion for article #237280

Too bad New Jersey doesn’t have a Governor who can actually manage the state’s finances. What good is Christie anyway besides political retribution?

If you’re going to screw over a demographic I suppose current retirees are a logical target. They’ll all be dead soon enough, and the generations coming in behind them are all being trained to despise unions and be suspicious of public retirement programs. Gut social Security, shut down OSHA, bring back child labor, fence in the EPA, sieze public lands, terminate science funding that conflicts with your predetermined worldview. Sooner or later the GOP nirvana of 99.9% of the populace being unquestioning proles under the lash and the .1% owning and directing it all will come true. The icing on the cake would be for the elites to cajole the 99.9% into dying at age 67. Then there would be even more money for them to keep. Just eliminate the whining retiree demographic altogether.

This is hilarious! Just ask how Illinois got into its pension mess. State employees ALWAYS had their contribution to the pension plan withheld from their paycheck and the politicians routed money from the state’s contribution to the pension plan to other spending and guess what happened!
