Discussion for article #240305
A day after apologizing for using a private email server,
So if you post a story about Clinton tomorrow, will you be starting it off with “Two days after apologizing for using a private email server…”
And then the next day with “Three days after apologizing for using a private email server…”
And so on?
Well done Katherine Krueger, have a doggy biscuit.
“We’ve got to get back to making it possible for anymore in America to go as far as their hard work will take them.”
Huh?
Glad to see a higher energy ad from HRC. But I was distracted by the opulent room she was sitting in. Was not in keeping with the message.
Did anyone else here notice her repeated pronunciation of “workin”? Is droppin’ the “g” a vestige of her time spent in Arkansas, or specifically intended as speakin’ to the regular folks? Honestly, I don’t know if she typically talks like this in informal situations. I know when she is in official capacity, her enunciation is crisp. If this was suggested to her to do, I stand my appraisal of the tone deafness of her campaign advisors. Just please let her be the wonky intellectual she is.
In Michigan:
When adjusted for inflation, Michigan’s median household income is lower today than in 1969, when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon and Richard Nixon was sworn in as president.
The decline is staggering: the median Michigan household makes do with the equivalent of $15,000 a year less than the median household in 1969, according to a Bridge analysis of U.S. Census data. That’s an annual loss in buying power in one generation greater than the cost of tuition at Michigan State University or a new bass boat.
“The fact that there is a loss by any measure, over such a long period, is unprecedented in our history,” said MSU economist Charles Ballard.
This seismic shift in fortune has far-reaching impact for the state and its residents, from the age of cars and the size of homes Michigan families can afford, to the state’s ability to pay for smooth roads and support top-flight public universities.
No, it is a vestige of your attempts at trolling.
“touched on”
Indeed. I give you Mrs. Milquetoast McCoakley. This shit almost comes across as if she’s afraid to touch it. This should be the defining issue of her entire campaign and she should be fucking it senseless like she hasn’t had any in months because Bubba was too busy with the intern…not touching it like some scared virgin afraid it will squirt at her if she looks at it wrong.
Seriously. It’s all about keepin up with the joneses for reporters I guess. can’t let a single drip of nonsense that escapes Trump’s or Palin’s idiot mouths to go unreported because oh no, the other guy DID report it. And god forbid you drop the ball on perpetuating the overarching nonsense narrative about the emails or Benghazi. Failure to include a completely non sequitur reference might ruin your job prospects down the road when potential employers are asking you about how well you are able to wrap your reporting around the central manufactured theme, no matter how irrelevant, false or contrived.
Yeah, very incongruous. They need to get her out of the white towers and onto the fucking streets. She also needs to upgrade her firmware to the new version that allows for expressing emotion.
ANYBODY…its pretty clear to me what she said, no mumbling or enunciation problems.
That’s a bit down in the weeds, to be honest. I can’t hear anything out of tone in her wording here, sounds pretty much like Hillary always sounds.
That being said, I do agree with the criticisms here regarding the setting. That’s the tone deafness that is showing, just like her statement about being broke coming out of the White House. It’s really hard to convince people you are looking out for the working family while sitting in a multi million dollar mansion.
The fact that 11 people in 3 hours responded to this post on a middle ground site tells me more than I need to know about Hillary.
She’s not the chosen one, by far.
I think it says more about the site than the candidate. I’m not endorsing Hillary here, but if we’re going by comment count on TPM in determining who the “chosen one” should be, the last couple of days would indicate that person to be Kim Davis.
It is because she is a phony. She thinks it will help connect to those regular folks. As if regular folks don’t pronounce it working instead of workin. She is one of the worse political candidates in history and if she wasn’t the wife of a certain Fmr-President, she wouldn’t be above 1%.
Are you kidding? It would be a disaster. She is one of the worse national political candidates in history. She has ZERO ability to connect with the average voter, which is why she is kept away from them.
Actually, if she wasn’t a fucking dick like all the other GOP candidates you’d be right.
All other GOP candidates? She is a GOP candidate?
No shit. Nothing like just ruining your article right out of the gate.
This reporter should be embarrassed and should feel compelled to back the fuck up and say something.
The odds of that are slim to none and if the explanation came it would most likely be a non-explanation type explanation.
Truly disappointing.
This is the thing. Hillary will follow through and do things about the wage gap and I’ll say right along side Bernie and Elizabeth W. And so much more along the progressive scale including the extension of the Obama programs. The Democratic legacy is what is at stake, not just the tale of one person.
Nimrods that think that Trump being an attention whore and attention grabbing jackass are what it takes are the problem, not Ben Ghazi or E male for fuck sakes.
Hillary is for real, and naysayers like justamarine just have some petty mission to achieve for their own little jollies by calling her mean sounding things. Like this justamarine dude is a real peach, hardly.
Hillary can govern, has governed and will govern, remember that and totally dismiss the media narrative that is so painfully apparent and also including this poorly written article.
Hillary is applying for a job, a job that she is highly qualified to do and has almost limitless potential for. Just like Joe Cool sitting in the White House right now. You know, the guy that is doing some unbelievably great and almost unthinkable stuff considering his working mates.
We want another one of these. Hillary isn’t as smooth as Obama, but cut her some slack, the man is unique. She does have vast and varying experience and oodles of it. Obama didn’t have that but he came around big.
Hillary/and who(?) 2016!
