They must be laying the groundwork for triangulating.

Democrats are so good at talking to each other. Republicans are good at talking to everyone else.

It makes perfect sense, since history proves that the overall economy always does better when Democrats are in charge.

If only there was some data somewhere that the mainstream media could see.

So in other words, things are better, and all the issues we believe are important, are those promoted by Democrats and blocked by Republicans…so lets vote for Republicans??

Like a letter to the editor from a Canadian, in a Michigan newspaper;
“So, Americans vote for the party that got you into the mess that Obama just dug you out of? This defies reason.”

But this looks like the same crowd who was polled for the 2014 elections.
I think why the midterms are more accurate than the presidential, is because they actually are more accurate polling “likely voters” in the midterm, because 1) Older people, who tend to be Republican are more likely voters, 2) More older people who tend to be Republican don’t have caller id, and answer their phones 3) one criteria they use for ascertaining “likely voters” is “did you vote in the last election?”, so many younger voters were not not counted in 2012. 4) Those who lost the last presidential election are more likely to vote in the next [mid term].

When the economy is doing poorly, is an issue, Dems win. When the economy is doing okay to pretty good, Dems lose.

Or to put another way, when people vote on economic issues Dems win. When people are less concerned with their own economic situation appeals to God, Guns, Gays, Race and Abortion work.

People like fighters, people with a spine to stand up for their convictions no matter how insane or paleolithic they are. Hmm, which party does that.

As we sit back and watch a Democratic senator champion the Keystone Pipeline as if her life depended on it, and a W.Va. senator promise to support the Republican agenda in congress…Lets think about those optics to people who can’t even come close to guessing the basic unemployment rate, or think Labor Day was instituted to celebrate motherhood.

Or to put it another way, when you are hungry you want your mama; when you are scared you want your daddy.

On a small aside…

The public conversation (political and non-political) has tilted too far the left on social issue stuff. Dems can’t win like this; they have to change the conversation.

This would be good new for Dems, except they don’t run on their convictions they run on the idea of not scaring the independents and moderates. Look how that turns out.

Democrats no longer attempt to get jobs for Americans. They are interested only in jobs for illegals.

A new poll … the country defers to Republicans rather than Democrats when it comes to the economy.

Give it a year of Republicans actually running things and see what the public thinks then.

Perception is reality. While a number of metrics show that the country’s economic health has improved since January 2009, many Americans, especially working and middle class ones, aren’t seeing and feeling it. They feel like they are working harder than ever while getting comparatively less in return. Their wages are relatively stagnant and their benefits are getting cut. The way they see it, who cares what some government statistics say when they feel like they are still struggling to get by.

Really, your trolling statement is based on what?

All the jobs Republicans have not created?

Please show me the data, because the only data I’ve seen shows again and again and again and again that the Democrat policies have improved the economy, have improved jobs. Be my guest… go back 30 years and show me different.

So when you run away from success people think it must be the other “Team” that had the success.

A hard-on for immigrants. Period.

Polls like this just blow my mind. Other than total obstruction, zero-governing, and blatant lies, exactly what actions or policy have Republicans put forth to merit a shift away from Dems and towards Repubs on the economy?

I do not know of any metric that shows Republicans having more effective economic policy than Democrats.

So… what… based on this people are turning to the screaming assholes and putting their hope in them?
