Please Dems running for the mid-terms. Embrace this. Show yourselves on air with people whose lives have been improved (or saved) by Obamacare. Let people know that you have their backs (literally and figuratively).
DON"T give in to the right-wing talking points. Having a spine that resembles a chocolate éclair doesn’t help you get elected. (Or to put it a different way, straddling the fence only makes your crotch hurt).
Obamacare works. Own it. All of it. Rub the GOPs Nose in it.
Repeat.

I was asked to respond to a survey by Hart Research (they do polling for the democratic party) and apparently I hit a nerve with some of my answers in my responses to their first survey, as I received a followup email asking that I explain why I was disgusted with the DSSC and DCCC (which I am) and why I have not donated this year as I had in the past. I explained that the dems absolutely suck in their messaging and are being out messaged on a daily basis by the republicans in addition to the fact that they have not had this President’s back or embraced Obamacare. I also said they fell down horribly when it came to explaining Obamacare fully so that people had a better understanding. I also said I was sick of subsidizing millionaire and multi-millionaire senators’ campaigns when my return on investment has proven to be worthless so far.

Look at it this way, dimwit. I’ll take the NEJM as being more reliable that whatever nuts Glenn Beck managed to shit out this week.

It’s all skewed. New England is obvious liberal territory. They’ve conspired with the White House to invent numbers so True Americans won’t see their massive failures.
Honestly, the goalposts got moved to 300 million. So the law fell well short of that number and it all needs to be repealed and replaced with Romney’s true American plan.

I don’t care what the numbers are. I know that I finally have insurance and I am finally able to get a handle on some of the serious health issues that had plagued me for years. Republicans suck. I watch the ads. Any person that runs on bashing Obamacare will never get my vote. I’m alive today because of Obamacare. When I see these people claiming they want a repeal, I think, this person, that does not know me, wants me to die. Who would vote for someone when they tell you up front they want to kill you? I can’t understand people who vote against their own interests.

My biggest criticism of this administration, and it’s one I find increasingly annoying, is their complete inability to sell their achievements outside of campaign mode. They have a wealth of great, historic achievements that they’re just kind of like, “Meh, we did some stuff.” It’s not just Obama, it’s the whole administration. They have this crippling fear that if they brag too much people who are hurting will think they’re not sympathetic to their plight or that they’ll seem out of touch.
As Chris Matthews was saying the other week, if the Bush administration had overseen tripling the Dow and lowering unemployment to pre-crash numbers, they’d have held a ticker tape parade. I know a good deal of the problem lies with an incredibly lazy, “both sides” MSM but it certainly isn’t all their fault. The administration needs to do more to show the American people what they’ve done, why they haven’t been able to do more, and just exactly who is standing in the way.
The administration needs to stop relying on their message getting out somehow, someway and stop believing you can have an adult conversation with the people of this country. They need to take a page from the Republicans and sell, sell, sell.
