Discussion: New Clinton TV Ad Slams Trump For Outsourcing His Clothing Line (VIDEOS)

I’ve always felt this would be an effective line…but holy shit, trying to squeeze in even an effective ad in among his unforced errors is hard! Adds to the narrative tho…keep it up.

I’m betting they got a full-throated, “Go ahead and use it, PLEASE!” from Dave Letterman.

To define Donald Trump you just start with a big pile of sh$t and scrape away everything that doesn’t look like a craven weasel.

With apologies to Michelangelo.

haha…even the follow-thru is awesome.

HRC campaign went even further to research out US manufacturing sources for Deadbeat Don’s garbage products.

There’s damned little the average strip mall or Walmart consumer picks up with their hands and carries to their car that’s made in the United States. Trump outsources his products. So does everyone else. Walk around your house and make note of 10 brand name possessions, (non-food items). I bet eight of them are from a foreign supplier.

Read this am that Macy’s dropped his clothing line from their stores.

They say they would drop a purse line from HRC too - sexist comment, but the point here is they don’t want to appear to represent a Presidential candidate.

I suggest they didn’t want to be associated with his message, but that’s just me.

Yes but “everyone else” doesn’t rail against the evils of outsourcing while talking about how they are going to “Make America Great Again”

What are the odds on Trump having a complete meltdown these days?

Um, go to a Trump rally. Every knucklehead in the crowd thinks foreign goods shouldn’t come into the country. Trump is voicing what millions believe. The guy driving a Toyota, wearing Nike shoes, watching a Sharp TV, nuking his popcorn in a Hitachi microwave and talking on a Samsung phone would love to fill you in on how foreign goods are robbing Americans of jobs. Just ask him. He’ll rail on about it for hours.

Agreed. But the knuckleheads in the crowd aren’t doing the outsourcing like Trump is. They’re just taking advantage of it.

The look he gives when being called out for his BS is what really hammers the ad home.

Excellent job completely missing the point. Well done!

Exactly. It’s the look of a 14-year-old wiseass slacker when the teacher proves he really hasn’t read the book he’s reporting on. A loudmouth windbag bullshitter for the ages, just this once embarrassed and at a loss for words.

ETA call me an optimist, but I think this kind of thing could shave off some support even among his current followers. You can call him dangerous, ignorant, unstable, all that, and they’ll just yawn. This makes him look ridiculous. I’m not sure that’s as easy to ignore.

Trump: “We employ people in Bangladesh. They have to work, too.”

Matt Taibbi on the GOP:

“There was a time in this country when business leaders felt a patriotic responsibility to protect American jobs and communities. That sense of noblesse oblige disappeared somewhere during the past generation, when the newly global employer class cut regular working stiffs loose, forcing them to compete with billions of foreigners without rights or political power who would eat toxic waste for five cents a day.”

If no one bought Trump’s products they wouldn’t be on the shelves in the United States. The same goes for everything else made overseas. If Americans want domestic producers to return, start up or keep the operations they have here currently maybe they should put their damned money where their mouth is and at every purchase possible seek out domestic products. But if I see some redneck bitching about Obama sending jobs overseas and he’s wearing Chinese made sneakers I really have a hard time mustering sympathy for their position.
