Maybe more than a few republican women, mothers?

Well, he MIGHT be a good role model for THESE kids:

I think I has similar pangs when we were in the process of killing 150,000 (plus or minus) civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq so they would be free of tyranny.

If you want someone to do something - voting for Clinton or at least staying home and not voting for Trump - choosing a narrative over data is the smart move.

Bad role model for kids? Heck, he’s a bad role model for adults. His way is bluster, dishonesty, lies, abuse of judges, racism, misogyny, and Lord knows what all. And he’s supposed to be a role model??

Wait…I thought they were just “suggestions”!

If not, they should be. That is if parents truly care about what their children are hearing. It’s either that, or the next thing they’ll be hearing uttered out of the mouths of babes are potty-mouthed words attributable to the leader of the free world…and emulated by older kids that only know the President is supposed to know the difference between right and wrong, because why else would someone running for President have been elected?

It’ll be a particularly hard thing for parents and teachers to discipline children who repeat his hate-filled rants I would think, especially if President Trump said the words himself. How awful is that to think about?

Colbert used to do a bit where he had children read the rantings of politicians on his old show. That was some of the most enlightening and frightening use of politicians own words coming back to bite them in the ass I always thought. And using children always made it so much more profound.

I’m no paragon of virtue when it comes to potty-mouthed talk, but I sure as hell don’t want my President being one to lead the country with the words and hateful mindset that motivates this jerk.

Depends on who he’s talking to.

I’m a proud papa of a very sharp 10 year old. But sadly, I had to somewhat assuage her fears that she would be in “danger” as a girl if trump were elected. Where she got that I don’t know, but as I said, she’s pretty sharp. If she gets it as a 10 year old, the thought of all the women and or mothers that are so willfully ignorant about who this man really is that they could pull the lever for him leaves me perplexed and sad.

It’s death by a thousand cuts. The meat is coming…its summer & before the offical convention. You don’t use ammo all at once and so early in the game.(pls excuse the gun metaphor)

For once, Dems are starting early, instead of waiting 'till the Fall while the other guy attack immediately!

Anyone who’s still undecided at this point in the campaign does not follow the day-to-day candidate narratives. They probably don’t have very informed opinions on policy either. So, the only way to get their attention is with an emotional appeal. This one is particularly powerful.

And this year, every vote is very, very important.

What? Obama started well before the convention, in 2012, which is why Romney was never able to shake the “rich dude who doesn’t care about you” label. Dems didn’t wait in 2008, either.

I agree with everything you said - except I think it’s good to attack him on that every day. Better to point out his nonsense than this…this blah message.

I think you missed the point, but please, rant away.

Nobody ever accused Republicans of caring about their children…after they leave the womb. Good ad for Independents, however. And will energize the Democratic base.

That is a powerful ad.

It’s just not an ad that’s speaking to you. But it is spot on for others. It’s not either or - it’s a big tent. You’ll get your turn, I am sure.
