I wonder why there is always an uptick in Wahabbi sunni jihadi terrorism during the month of Ramadan. Last week a Saudi Wahabbi Sunni jihadi airstrike killed 25 innocent men, women, children in Yemen. Now, the wanton attack on Istanbul.

Is there something about fasting and the binge eating that inevitably follows that makes their jihadi beliefs more fervent, changes their mood and makes them prone to killing people?

Also, wondering whether increased in violence during Ramadan been an frequent and integral part of wahabbi sunni history?

There might also be myths in the koran or elsewhere in the teachings of wahabbi sunni prophets that is propelling the violence during Ramadan? It appears that Mohammad successfully overcame (beheaded the men, enslaved women) poets and other opposition in his community of Medina during Ramadan. This murderous rampage was Mohammed’s first victory as the earlier attacks during non-Ramadan months were failures. Are some of the wahabbi sunni jihadi terrorists interpreting this koranic myth literally?

It’s simple. People everywhere are batshit insane and have no regard or empathy for the lives of others. Race, religion, ethnicity, gender, education, doesn’t matter, homo sapiens are corrosive, combustible organisms. I believe nature has a way of dealing with destructive forces by a species. Some plague or other disaster really needs to whittle down the Earth’s population by about 98%. Where’s a good 10 mile wide asteroid when you need one?

I don’t know. From my corner, the Wahabbi sunni jihadi terrrorist nightmare represents some fundamental breakdown, a gross aberration in the human condition. I suspect that religious factors are primary to causation here.

Yes, Friendly and the rest of Murrow’s production crew played a significant part. But Murrow had to fight with CBS to get to go on the air. Ultimately, it was only Murrow’s own prestige at CBS that carried the day.

I’ve been saying for awhile that if people who practice the Muslim faith want to be heard, understood and want to counter all the negativity that is aimed at them because of their religion they will have to be a strong voting bloc. They have to organize and become a stronger voice in order to stop being painted as the latest boogeyman and political punching bag.

The most memorable retort from other EU parliamentarians was from former Belgian prime minister Guy Verhofstadt who said to Farage: “OK, let’s be positive, we are getting rid of the biggest waste of EU budget: your salary.”

As recently as June 1 there was reporting in the NY Times about Muslims and increased voter registration which I linked to at that time. Headline: Unsettling U.S. Political Climate Galvanizes Muslims to Vote

As far back as Nov. 2015, Donald Trump gave a foreshadowing of the nightmare he could bring to this republic. Everyone should be wary, afraid of the influence of this growing demagogue and parasitic hate peddler on the very fabric that holds our country together:

After Trump’s call for ‘more torture’ in the wake of the airport attack in Turkey, just imagine if you offered these two quotes from George Washington to a Republican today (keeping in mind how they ‘love’ and ‘revere’ the founding fathers) and didn’t tell him who said these insightful and brilliant things:
