There’s a “total disaster” all right—the west is filled with openly seditionist thugs like Cliven Bundy, who has directly stated he believes the United States government doesn’t exist. This asshole should be in jail like his sons until he pays the grazing fees.

Law enforcement has killed lots of people.
Just guessing he only cares when it is white people who are killed who say they are involved in his cause that it matters. Just guessing.

My understanding is that the bureau of land management is still pursuing exactly this via the courts, but that it’s proceeding at a glacial pace given the crowded legal system. I totally, wholeheartedly agree with you that that’s where this character needs to be. But it’s going to be slooooowwwwwwwwww
