"Ms. Fiore, we no longer see you as a passionate advocate for your Second Amendment rights, which we support,” Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers Executive Director Rick McCann wrote in a letter to her office. “Rather, these comments were utterly irresponsible, an embarrassment to your District and our State, and they continue to demonstrate why you are unqualified to hold the position of United States Congresswoman."
She should be in a cell between Ammon and Ryan.
Talk about an enabler…she actively supported an insurrection against the United States.
I’m no fan of Fiore, but you are totally inappropriate and I have flagged your appalling comment.
C’mon TPM, you can do better than that picture. Here ya’ go:
Chickens coming home to roost.
"Whether you’re a stranger, a bad guy, or an officer, and you point your gun at me and you’re gonna shoot me and I have to decide whether it’s my life or your life, I choose my life.”
See? Being a pro-life Republican, she chooses life. Hers, anyway. As for the cop…
Perhaps someone should ask the NRA their view on this.
But funny how these cops are for the Second up until someone suggests pointing the gun at them.
Gee the Police Union never had a problem with her rants and threats against federal employees of the BLM, IRS or ATF since not only did they say nothing but even continued to have “…worked well with Fiore “on many occasions” during the 2015 legislative session…” after her full throated support of domestic terrorists. It was only when her comments meandered into their petty provincial arena did they take umbrage.
Shows the police union up as the hypocrites and thugs that they are. Less interested in the rule of law then in their own petty concerns.
I guess that any federal employees, even ones that carry a badge, are not considered by them to be part of …" the “hard working men and women who put their lives on the line every day.”…".
Hypocrites who care little or nothing about the law and only about feathering their own nest no matter whom else gets murdered.
This woman is a nut.
Why do all the wimmens and kids have no shoes on?
edit: Why do all the wimmens and girly kids have no shoes on?
“Your comments underscore your distortion of the Second Amendment and essentially advise your followers that they may point a firearm at law enforcement with impunity and without life or death consequences,” he wrote.
Yes, Michelle. This is the problem with gun nuts who think their right to self defense is so broad that it allows them to refuse lawful police orders as long as they too are armed.
While the police are far from perfect, they are at least governed by a uniform policy of when to draw one’s weapon. On the other hand, the only gun draw policy that governs many gun nuts is whatever arbitrary drunken inhibitions or voices in their many heads may be in control from time to time.
Her statement was made in April.
With this sort of response time, I don’t think many Nevadans need worry about law enforcement pointing anything at them.
Gotta say, as a soldier and trained shooter, if someone has a weapon already pointed at you… it’s a little late to point your gun back.
Fiore is really hoping for the last thing she hears to be, “She’s going for a weapon!” followed by several loud bangs…
“[A] passionate advocate for your Second Amendment rights.”
Or, as the reality-based community more accurately phrases it:
“An unhinged gun nut who’s going to get a lot of people killed.”
(And, arguably, already has.)
For a relative nobody in the grand scheme of national politics, this woman gets an inordinate amount of time on this site.
I’m truly amazed by this. I didn’t suspect that a GOP representative could say anything to offend a police union.
Actually, a number of law enforcement organizations have criticized groups such as the open-carry advocates and other gun absolutists. Some of them have said that concealed and open-carry supporters have made their jobs more complicated and dangerous.
That makes sense . I let the snark get in the way of the fax.
