Good on him!

Excellent. I heard on a podcast last week that, while a lot of states are trying to outlaw abortion, Nevada has done the opposite, I.e., expanded access to abortion services because of the large number of women in the state legislature (women may even hold the majority if I recall correctly).

“Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) signed a bill on Wednesday evening that automatically restores former felons’ right to vote in the state.”

So, at some point in the future, the entire Trump family will be able to vote again in Nevada?

Why will the Trumps ever become “former” felons? Hopefully they’ll be sentenced to life.

Florida, are you watching?

This is so freaking awesome! There are plenty of shitty arguments why felons shouldn’t have their voting rights restored, but there isn’t a single good one.

This is becoming a thing. As red states reduce rights under the guise of “freedom,” blue states are steadily increasing them. Fewer and fewer people want to live in red states as it is, but then folks keep voting for regressive state governments and then wonder why their kids move away. This is why.

Sen. Harris answered a question at a recent town hall from a young woman who said “Why vote?” Harris answered with a few words about the danger of not participating saying finally after referencing the occupant “Is this who we are?”

I like the record-sealing too. It’s like the previous round of expunging convictions for LGBT folk, and only fair.

Great description of the accelerated brain drain happening in our more red states.

…and there you go. A Female Senate and a Dem in the Guv’s seat. It’s nice to see a state do something OTHER than screw with female body parts.

Sure, when Steve Wynn has them washing dishes in his hotels for room and board.

If the crimes are pervasive and ongoing, ‘former’ doesn’t enter onto it.

Wonderful!

We need to remember that many criminals retain the right to vote, until they are convicted-- the ex-felons who have served their time really deserve it more than, say, Donald Trump (who, to give him a bone, probably never voted until he could vote for himself).

Once AZ turns blue in 2020 Dems will hold the entire West sans Utah
