Discussion: Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval To Endorse John Kasich

Great. Now there is a serious candidate for normal Republicans who do not subscribe to Batshit Crazy. You know, on average it comes to high single digits per precinct, though hundreds of precincts are believed to have more than ten of them!

Shouldn’t he have done this before the Nevada primary?

Trump and Cruz are what we always knew they were. Only major difference from then is Rubio’s out.

Well, because he’s my governor and definitely not one of the crazier ones out there, I’m glad he didn’t endorse Trump or Cruz. Makes me feel a little better.

##Kasich-mentum!

Well, O.K., not really.

No, it’ll be Ryan / Cotton, with Cotton pulling an Underwood should they somehow get into office.

I’m still hearing and seeing comments from the right about needing to bring guns into the convention. For the sake of everyone there I hope security does a better job than the TSA does at airports.

Uh, John, you might wanna reconsider that Bentley endorsement. Just a friendly suggestion.

He’s not so much crazy as he is the usual far-right ugly Republican. His record—which hasn’t yet gotten the attention it deserves because his chances haven’t made it seem worth the effort—speaks for itself.

I guess that’s one way to nicely say “none of the above” – endorse the guy that has no chance.

Good for Sandoval…Kasich is the only sane candidate among the Republicans even though I’m not a fan of conservative views.

Kasich is “normal” only because he’s being compared to your “batchit crazy”. Look past the appreciated good guy demeanor and you get someone who defunds Planned Parenthood and does a lot of other stuff that would qualify him as a neocon. By that I mean he’s slightly less batchit crazy than trump or Cruz. Kasich is not likely to say he can stand in 5th ave, shoot people and not lose any support like trump did.

Kasich is every bit as deceptive as Rick Snyder in Michigan, who campaigned as “I’m just a harmless techno-nerd who’s interested in common-sense government” and thousands of Democrats who had previously voted for Jennifer Granholm swallowed that line of bullshit. One of the first things Snyder did was sign the “right to work” legislation that ALEC spoon-fed to the Republicans in the Michigan legislature, and Snyder’s privatization pals put into motion the switch of the Flint water source from Detroit to the industrially polluted Flint River. Snyder’s now getting his just desserts as his name is forever tied to the poisoning of thousands of Michigan children.

Kasich would be every bit as bad, and because of his non-nutty demeanor, he’s a much more dangerous potential candidate than either Trump or Cruz, especially because David Brooks, Cokie Roberts, Chuck Todd, and Georgie Poofanopolous would be doing contortionist exercises to portray Kasich as a “moderate.” That’s what happened in 2000, when the MSM uniformly mocked Al Gore for his tight jeans, made no attempt to seriously question the Naderites who said there was no difference between the two major candidates, and enthusiastically portrayed W as a humble, compassionate man of the people who you’d want to have a beer with.

Great. One pretend moderate endorses another. Then, if they get power, whoosh, suddenly they turn right. Can you imagine Kaisch in there with the Rabid Dog Republicans? There wouldn’t be enough Kool-Aid to go around.

Trump: So a rapist endorses my opponent. No surprise there.
