Discussion for article #246713
With Carnival Cruz in third place yet again.
Kasich will hold on for Ohio, but what is driving Carson? It can’t just be financing. He’s gonna be so far behind after tonight, he won’t even show up in the rear view mirror.
I understand Cruz and Trump want Rubio out, although that looks less likely, depending on VA. What is holding Dr. Ben in the race anymore - he’s not even a blip?
Too close to call? No way! Please somebody…wake Marco up!
The campaign is a continuous book tour for Ben’s Half Baked Rice (cooked in a cracked pot)
Nate Silver has Trump’s chances of winning VA at 81-69%. I’ll stick with him until he is proven wrong.
Yawn, media driven drama. My guess is Trump will win by an easy 7-8 which means a blow out, not “too close to call”.
Granted, the Rube needs to win VA (especially in NoVA) but he’s still gonna lose his home state of FL to Rump.
There is still some sheep left to fleece.
I would love Trump winning Texas, just to see the look on Antichrist Cruz face.
It’s approaching probability. Cruz up 20 points a month ago, 8 points last week, polls this week had them tied. Heavy R turnout in North Texas (Dallas Forth Worth). That is an area that leans Trump. So-so turnout in Houston area (Cruz’s area)
Never seen the networks referred to as the “nets” before. Not as if saving ink and newsprint is an issue.
Yeah but “nets” is so much more hipster-sounding.
Interesting article just went up on Houston Chronicle:
Ted Cruz faces crucial Super Tuesday challenge in Texas
"…Rice University political scientist Mark Jones and University of Houston political scientist Brandon Rottinghaus agreed Cruz needed to top 50 percent of the statewide vote to claim a resounding Texas victory.
“There is no way for Cruz or his supporters to spin any victory by a margin in the single digits as a decisive win,” Jones said.

Because of Texas law, Cruz has to win 50.1% of the vote to get all the delegates. Anything less, the candidates split the delegates proportionally.
Damn you NoVa
No va is Spanish for no go. Fitting phrase for the Cruz campaign.
I’m a bit sad though
I had a chance to put a wager on Rubio winning Virginia. I took a pass and went with Trump winning Texas.
I got a hr to find out if that was smart.
So I went to the Trump rally in Louisville today. Jesus H Christ on a cracker with cheese whizz. Cough, cough, gag. Couldn’t take my good camera, only i-phone so just a few photos of crowd and a few totally weird people. Trump says there are 20,000 there and I laughed out loud…2,000+ or so at best. Please, I know what 20,000 looks like at the Yum! Center or our football stadium so…lying big time.
P.T. Barnum would have been proud as would Caligula at the Forum. He’s got the inciting division and hate blame down to sound bite perfection. God, the audio was horrific, ear splitting. Took some hits at Hillary that went over well. Repealing Obama care was a big hit which in this state is just inexplicably idiotic.
He’s really milking the “get 'em outta here” gig having people thrown out. At least 5 times by my count. Crowd loved it, so reminded me of Gladiator. Plenty of police around but when people got “thrown out” it was plain closed old while guys with marine or army t-shirts of which I thought was strange since there were plenty of uniformed officers there. Walked by a black officer and said, “Worst shift ever?” and he smiled at me and said, “oh yes.”
So I saw first hand how this man is really dangerous with this carnival show. He is plainly inciting violence and instilling the crazy shit into the populace that least needs it.
And…this Trump idiot can’t even do the simplest of homework as to where he is. To work up the crowd, he says, (lies) that later he will be, “Watching Kentucky!” meaning basketball game. Well that dumb ass is speaking in LOUISVILLE with the YUM! center just down the street and Louisville is having their last home game tonight and KY is playing a road game in Florida. FAIL!!! (However there are plenty of UK fans in Louisville but still…homework FAIL!!!
Yuck…excuse me while I go take a long hot shower.
All the polls except El Paso (in Mountain time) are closed. May not have to wait an hour. They will announce results whether the polls in El Paso are open or not.
Also interesting to note. All the candidates who already filed are on the ballot, whether they have withdrawn, suspended or what not.
The Carly, Hucky, Lindsey, JEB voters can still vote for their fave.
K-HOU tv in Houston has an interesting headline up: “Cruz hoping to win home state.”
