Time for all other web-hosts to do a similar cleansing.
Did any of you see the cartoon about Heyer on Twitter? Someone opened an account just to post it, and he was banned pretty quickly, but it was vile. These nazis are truly sick people. Absolute lacking in compassion or humanity.
Facebook could use some similar sanity…
I eagerly await the cries of “First Amendment rights” and gleefully reply that it does not apply in this case. Congress has made no law restricting free speech, you Nazi assholes.
Alt-real right-wing “free speech” has proven to be very expensive… nothing free about it… look at the cost in Charlottesville.
These goons consider racial equality as some sort of lib tyranny.
I posted last night that the site carried a message about being taken over by Anonymous. But…it was a questionable-looking message.
Given that Anonymous denies involvement, I think this is a stunt by Anglin to make himself appear to be a victim of a global Jewish conspiracy led by Sorros. Poor me. Poor little Nazis.
Isn’t that the definition of Nazi?
Pretty much all hosting services have a ToS clause prohibiting use for terrorism. Although that’s apparently not why Go Daddy booted them. They were booted for their article on why they’d done the world a favor by eliminating Heather Heyer.
Daily Stormer has been posting hate speech from the day it was created by Neonazis for Neonazis. The only reason Go Daddy decided to stop hosting them was because Twitter users organized to pressure the company.
It’s the same tactic that’s been used effectively to strip Rush Limbaugh and other hate radio hosts of their advertisers. (I believe that was organized on Daily Kos.)
While I have mixed feelings about punching Nazis, I am all for making these right wing clowns pay every possible price for publicly (and helpfully) identifying themselves as Nazis. They’ve hidden behind internet anonymity to harass, terrorize, doxx, and swat. They think they’re victims now? I believe they are in for an education as to why the Klan wears hoods.
Most of them have a long list of things they won’t let you host, including, on my host at least, “hate sites.” In short, these are private companies who don’t need the tsuris caused by hosting problematic sites. They don’t want to deal with the complaints, nor do they want to deal with the hacking attempts. And last but not least, they don’t want to have to deal with requests for access by law enforcement.
They can make their money by sticking to cute kittie sites. They don’t need to put up with Daily Stormer crap.
Beginning with Twitter and 45
Even more problematically, they don’t want to be sued.
It’s implied in their “victims of Anonymous and Sorros” stunt.
I’m sure there are plenty of hosting sights in Romania that would be happy to have them.
Russia, not so much. Gee, I wonder why? (22 million dead in WW2 maybe?)
Indeed; Infowars should get a similar ultimatum for Jones claiming it was a false flag
Does News Corp. the parent of Faux Noise owns a hosting service? If so, the Daily Stormer will find a new home.
Nothing like having your swas- tiki torches lighting up your sorry mug for the whole world to see on every social media outlet imaginable.
I can see those hoods coming back, fast
PS: It’s time for Twitter users to launch a global protest to put pressure on TWITTER. Twitter is the biggest offender of all for sponsoring, propagating, disseminating and enabling homicidal hate speech all over the world. Trump, ISIS, every Nazi organization there is – Twitter is a dream come true for brainwashing tolalitatian propaganda. Goebbels must be spinning in his grave with envy.
O…M…G - I just read their article on the murdered woman. One knows on a certain level (well, we have Donald Trump as President) that our country has plenty of deranged folks who live in a distorted, fact-free world. But reading that is something else - I am literally sick to my stomach.
