Discussion: Nebraska Panel Approves Keystone Pipeline Expansion

I hope they run it through downtown Omaha.

It will run through poor towns, small-scale farms, and Native American land. Pollution is a regressive tax foisted upon the weak by the rich.

The commission was forbidden by law from considering a recent oil spill in South Dakota on the existing Keystone pipeline in its decision.

Umm… why? How is this not a reasonable thing to consider?

Seems like the game is already over.

If they run more pipe maybe it will reduce the pressure and won’t leak this time…er then again it might mean more places to leak!

Here are the counties affected by the Keystone XL route and the precentage of voters in each county that voted for Trump. But, yes, obviously the real problem here is that the route doesn’t affect the residents of one of the two counties in the state to go for Clinton. After all these voters didn’t vote for Trump to have a pipeline on their land. They voted for Trump so he could fuck the blacks and Mexicans in Omaha, so whats all this bullshit of them facing consequences for their ellectoral decisions? They are Real AmericansTM, unlike them latte drinking city folk and minorities in Omaha, they aren’t suppose to face consequences for their actions!

Because our state legislature passed a law in 2011 - the Major Oil Pipeline Siting Act - which expressly forbids the PSC from considering safety.

The one place in the state that gave an EV to Obama and where a majority of residents oppose KXL. Yeah, that’ll teach us!

The Republican’t Party is like the tobacco industry: They don’t care that they kill their best customers. In fact, they seem to relish it…

Into the air, and straight to your lungs, where health insurance stops.

Republican government at work.

I know but I can hope.
