A sorry state of affairs when any two-legged with nerve willing to call itself a Republican will become a US Senator in the fall.
But Sasse too wasnât insulted from tea party fury throughout the primary âŚ

- But Sasse wasnât insulated from the tea party fury during the primary either âŚ

The biggest âaccomplishmentâ Ben Sasse has so far managed to perform was to take a troubled private college - and run it into the ground: http://watchdog.org/124600/ben-sasse/
Now he wants to help do the same to the rest of the countryâŚ
It would be welcomed if the opposition to the Keystone Pipeline in Nebraska would turn into votes for Democrats.
That would be nice, but it is extremely unlikely. Sasse received more votes in a 5 way race for the republican nomination than the democratic candidates did by about a 40000 votes, with about 100k divided among the other candidates in the republican primary. This being Nebraska the republicans will sweep the board and we will go the way of Kansas. Even in the legislature the candidate for my district is a tea party enthusiast, her web site links to support for Ted Cruz and the Pauls, ron and rand. What a world, what a world.
Close enough. (+ 20)

This is Nebraska. Democrats are an endangered species in a state that hates endangered species.
Wish I could like this post more than once.
The Cornhuskers are willing to âshoot themselves in the footâ so it seems. Nebraska, like Kansas in that great book Whatâs the Matter with Kansas? How Conservatives Won the Heart of America (2004), has sold itâs self down the river of conservatism.
Itâs Nebraska. The little psychopath will win.
So true, hope you donât have to live here. Looks like we will have loonies in both Senatorial slots and Governor as well. Pete reminds me a bit of the Florida Gov.
