I’m not a lawyer, but is it possible that the head of the Republican Party in NC could be charged with Obstruction of Justice for getting in the way of the process. I think that would be appropriate, but maybe not be within the bounds of the law.

Nah. It’s not a criminal proceeding, so no justice to obstruct. However, he can justifiably be charged with being a giant douchebag who makes no sense and is making the party that he represents look like a bunch of stupid crooks. (Also, perhaps, justifiably.)

Shorter Republican Party Chairman Robin Hayes: The people of North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District don’t need representation. Hell, they don’t even need to vote, if you ask me.
