In the race of GOP states sinking toward the bottom of the barrel …

I think one just took the lead —

Where the ‘Puritans’ at?

These acts are directly telling voters that universal suffrage is bullshit, but watch the purists pipe up about still going ‘hard left’.

North Carolina Republicans in particular are focused on stripping power from the state education board and increasing the authority of the incoming Republican state superintendent.

You might call this the “Art Pope Clause” of the legislation. His fingerprints are all over this. (1,2)

What a bunch of wimps. They have no spines or morals. Some day, they will meet their maker… in the mean time I hope they enjoy their historic rejection of the will of the people.
What will the legacy of the ‘pee pee law’ ex-governor and this Loser Legislature be?

This bill will become law and head to Trump’s Supreme Court. I’m not looking forward to its decision as authored by Alito/Thomas.

Long way away …

It will most likely be set aside while it works through state court first —

:nauseated_face:JUST SICKENING. What is a Cooper is he Not the Governor Elect of the Great State Of North Carolina. Which tells me that the People Elected Him to be the EXECUTIVE OF NORTH CAROLINA’S GOVERNMENT. The Republican’s in Congress would NEVER HAVE GOTTEN AWAY with trying that crap on OBAMA The President of The United States of America. Let alone EVEN CONTEMPLATE IT.

Yes, State courts first but one must think they are also dominated by Republicans, hence they may just get away with this. If they do, we should get this all memorialized for say 100 years+ to prevent these azzholes from shifting it all back under a Republiscum governor ever again.
