Oh man this is gonna be the worst episode ever

So here’s my question… the race for the Republican nomination is essentially a private contest, run for the Republican Party by the Republican Party. It doesn’t really have any official capacity as an election, so does the law even apply?

It’s like SNL has given up and is trying to suck.

Give them all equal time, but make it so that SNL gets to write their comedy sketch.

This would only be equal if each was on air for 12 minutes to perform material written by the SNL writers.

There are precedents arguing both ways, but NBC’s not going to even try to use any in their favor, first because NBC’s not in a good position to argue them because it was already made aware of this challenge in advance of the actual SNL episode (which itself can be sufficient), and second because NBC management, unsurprisingly, wishes to avoid being attacked for favoritism or at all made into a whipping boy by GOPers.

This season of SNL will rank right there with the Jean Douminian-produced year of 1980 :’(

Are the jokes going to write themselves or is that … writing on the wall?

In any case, please proceed, Republicans, to the most unintentionally funny episode of SNL.

The network, according to the publication, is still discussing possibilities with former New York Gov. George Pataki ®.

Discussing, as in “seriously, on what basis should we consider you an actual candidate?”

I bet it won’t be union made in America.

Deciding on an appropriate dog breed for a pet to mention is going to be tougher. There are so many more breeds now available and many people have very strong opinions about them.

Right? Maybe Huckabee will bring his bass!

Plus, ratings!

Why only give equal time to the clown car candidates? I would like to see Vermin Supreme get his twelve minutes to pitch his idea of a free pony for everyone… and od course, not even trump can top Vermions Boot head!!!

Lame comedy. These candidates are just proving what wimps they really are. Remember that John McCain and Sarah Palin also pushed their way on stage (though, the audience did eat it up!). Didn’t help humanize them anymore than you folks will be humanized. One cannot humanize those who are inhumane.

So. The party that wrote the equal time clause out of our law, demands equal time.

Check. Got it. Now tell me something that will surprise me.

because NBC management, unsurprisingly, wishes to avoid being attacked for favoritism or at all made into a whipping boy by GOPers.

Unless it’s going to ALSO give equal time to the Democratic candidates I’d say it’s opening itself up to even more credible accusations of bias.
