Man…is Mueller ever putting on vise-like pressure on Manafort. At this rate, something’s going to blow soon and hopefully that’ll be Trump.
The way I see it, Manafort is guilty of various crimes. So he can cooperate and get a plea deal where he’ll get his freedom back at some point or he can die in jail. Not really a choice in my opinion. But then again, I don’t play footsies with Ukrainian and Russian mobsters.
Gates enters a guilty plea, and Mueller gives Manafort a present of additional charges?
I don’t think Mueller is much interested in squeezing Manafort anymore. My guess is he is going to go ahead with prosecuting the guy, and let the facts laid out by that prosecution, along with all the corroboration displayed along the way, be the basis of the case against others.
Manafort dickered around too long trying to be a tough guy. Now that Gates is singing, along with the Russian oligarch’s son-in-law is singing, Mueller seems to be going full bore ahead with nailing Manafort to the wall.
Interesting this guy was fired in 2015.

I believe the technical legal term for Manafort’s actions is TURBOFRAUD
