Two anonymous congressional sources told NBC that the committees wanted to question Kushner on whether his alleged attempts to set up a secret backchannel with the Russian government had anything to do with seeking financing for his familyâs luxury tower at 666 5th Ave., which has been bleeding money since Kushner bought it in 2007.
It sounds like a pre-existing condition, so itâs not covered.
This is the explanation that truly makes sense. Kushner was trying to figure out how to use his new-found political power to get some Russian money to help bail him out of his âbrilliantâ real estate acquisition (at double the going rate - what a genius).
As Iâve said before, these people are all just grifters, so donât spend too much time looking for treason or suspicious ideology - just follow the money, and youâll dig up all manner of felonies.
Russiaâs Vnesheconombank is wholly owned by the Russian government and is currently under strict U.S. sanctions, banned from doing most forms of business in the United States. Gorkov is also a graduate of Russiaâs Academy of the Federal Security Service, which the New York Times dubs a âspy school.â
Yesterdayâs USA TODAY editorial: âWas Obama Administrationâs Spying Worse Than Watergate?â
The crazy wagons are circling.
Brace yourself for a piano of false-equivalence lunacy about to be dropped on our heads.
I smell a perjury trap. Itâs nice that theyâre giving Kushner a choice of which federal crime he wants to deny, and which one he wants to use to bolster the denial. Or will he take the 5th?
I can hear the âgearsâ of the RNC messaging machine winding up to tell us OVER AND OVER AGAIN AT VERY LOUD VOLUME what a newbie he is to politics and even though he sheparded billion dollar deals he is really just a young naĂŻf when it comes to this stuffâŚ
Even though Trump himself is indemnified from most conflicts of interest (except those mentioned in the Constitution), his family and other friends he employs as âadvisorsâ and âstaffâ have no such protection and are, in fact, at criminal jeopardy. I hope when justice is done to see them all behind bars.
â⌠his treason and espionage was not that bad.â
Exactly, I seriously doubt that an election collusion thing can be found and a solid case made. But money laundering is definitely a possibility for Manaforte, plus in general it is obvious that Trump and Kushner are up to their asses in debt to the Chinese and especially the Russians, and that Trump is not worth even remotely what he claims. We could easily be looking at briber and money laundering cases that are solid, and that includes Mr. Trump himself.
And as to my first statement, I am not ruling out the election collusion might be found and perhaps also be a solid case. What has become very evident is that these people had NO CLUE that the Russians they were talking to were being wiretapped. Thatâs why they are being evasive, they are no sure how much of what they said is now a âmatter of recordâ.
This is unprecedented, and I am loving it.
At some point, youâd have to think selling out your countryâs intelligence officers and their assets qualifies, if not as a âhigh crime,â then at the least as a damn âmisdemeanor.â
Oh, yeah. I wasnât even trying to address the Russian collusion involving sharing of secrets and secret alliances. Thatâs treason.
Hey !! Itâs OK ⌠Theyâre Republicans ⌠remember ??
I am concerned about having a deep state operative who is working closely with Russian intelligence in the White House. Our national security and intelligence are being compromised every day.
So, I just got an email with this in it:
Come to think of it, the âit was a transition meetingâ and âit was a business meetingâ stories are not necessarily mutually exclusive. As far as the Trumpsters are concerned, the transition to the government and their personal business were part and parcel of the spoils of the election. Remember all the foreign business people who trooped through Trump Tower to meet with Dear Leader, pledging to invest and bring jobs to the US, nudge nudge, wink wink? Like this guy?
Letâs see what happens when he applies his âgeniusâ to solving the middle eastern peace problem. It will probably end up worse than it was before he started.
For anyone who is too young to remember, this scandal will dwarf Watergate. Stealing an election and selling access for Russian money goes way beyond, " a third rate burglary".
I can tell Congress the answer to that question.
And really, no oneâs brought up the address: â666â?
Show me the taxes! Show me the inventory of assets and liabilities! Show me the money! They cannot continue to hide info that would reveal conflicts (plural) of interest, corruption and compromising entanglements! Show me the frickinâ money!!
That editorial was pure, unadulterated bunk!
