Magic Johnson is a credit to his race as is Shaq O’Neal, Michael Jordan, Kobe, etc., etc. Sterling loves them all on payday.
This is a story you cannot exactly “Like” because it’s repugnant, but I “Like” it for the revelations about Sterling.,
Sort of begs the question - how many rich white (I’m guessing we can leave Michael Jordan out of this) basketball team owners aren’t racists?
Guess Stirling isn’t familiar with the word,BOYCOTT.
Doc Rivers is handling the balls of those who handle the balls
Hopefully his players put as much effort into their play as he puts sincerity into his response. Be a shame if the value of his team nosedives.
This racist SOB is the definition of a “Slave Master.”
he likes black people just fine, as long as they’re working for him or going to bed with him.
Another asshole giving his opinion about the Negro.
Sterling is a big apartment landlord who was sued several years ago for housing discrimination against blacks and Hispanics. He paid $2.7 million to settle the suit–with the usual “no admission of wrongdoing” language in the settlement.
Seems safe to assume that his discriminatory actions were not accidental.
Doc Rivers as a player and coach seemed a stand up guy. All this makes me question him coming to the Clippers. It actually gives substance to my gut disgust of them as a franchise.
I really hope his GF wakes up and dumps this old crock fast. Your basic humanity and dignity are just not worth whatever bennies this 1% racist and autocrat doles out.
Judging from his belly on the photo, he bread is very well buttered.
This should come as no surprise. His Mother was notorious bigot and she left her real estate to this asshole. He has been an asshole and bigot his whole life.
I’m guessing she was on the way out the door anyway and decided to give the ol’ puke a little parting gift - Unless there are some Golden State fans at the NSA.
Truly a dimwit along with a racist. Plantation owners also didn’t want their families associating socially with slaves, except of course to rape them.
There is absolutely no place for this in the NBA-zero. Now let’s see if the NBA has the character to do something about it.
and if the Buffalo Bills are sold to Donald Trump, the NFL will have their own “Donald” capable of similar nonsense.
OK. This guy is an example of a malevolent racist. It’s really worthwhile to look for a moment at the difference between this schmuck and the various people who have recently been pilloried for being racist, when the others are really just dumb and as-racist-as-everyone-else in America.
This guy doesn’t want someone at “his” event, when the only thing he knows about that someone is that they are black. That’s malevolent racism, pure and simple.
Paula Deen, on the other hand, is a parochial simple-minded person who believes certain stereotypes. There is no reason I can think of to think she would ever say “don’t bring this person” just because of the race of the person.
Cliven Bundy, too, is a parochial simple-minded person who believes certain stereotypes. Does anyone actually think he would say “don’t bring this person” to some party of his because of the person’s race?
In my mind, it is really important to distinguish between these different types of racism, and to focus the outrage where it belongs: on schmucks, not on the feeble-minded. We are all feeble-minded and parochial on the subject of race in America – it is part of our inheritance. I am. You are too. It doesn’t matter if you’re married to someone of another race and work in a “multicultural” bit of heaven – we all grew up immersed in a stew of racial stupidity, and we all absorbed it.
Playing holier-than-thou games with people who use awkward language or who think they know everything about “the Negro” is not helpful. Educating them would be helpful, but absolutely nobody is educated by being ridiculed. Nobody.
[I can’t add more replies on this topic, but I think AlphaDad’s reply is exactly right. Thanks, AlphaDad. As for Doremus Jessup’s reply to Alpha Dad, no, I don’t think Cliven Bundy and I agree about much, if anything. I think, though, I *understand* how he has reached certain conclusions that I consider misinformed. My problem is not with big GUBMINT. It’s with BIG.]
By pointing out Donald Sterling’s racism, it just proves you’re the real racists. Or something. These vile idiots arguments just confuse me.
