Theyâre right.
But, remember, the National Council of Churches is quite different from the christianist base of the GOP. So, of course, what they say matters absolutely NOT to Republicans.
National Council of Brain Dead Evangelicals disagrees.
The GOP doesnât care.
Satanists.
Yeah theyâre not the Southern Baptist Convention, but itâs still a small nudge in the right direction. Probably not enough, but every bit helps!
Mitch McConnell WILL NOT be intimidated by Jesus!
I hope everyone who votes for this fucker is voted out of office, booed in church, shamed out of restaurants, and arrested for fraud for pretending to be decent human beings.
âOh yeah! Well religion has no place in politics!â the Evangelical âChristianâ GOPosaurs said without a hint or ironyâŚ
âCause he is Jeasues almighty.
When youâve lost the Sisters âŚ.
ETA Hereâs a link (no paywall) to the op-ed Sr. McNany references.
Could we get the fucking Pope to chime in here?
This âtoo little, too lateâ factoid will be one of the many things we read in bewilderment decades from now as we look back at this travesty and wonder âhow did this happen?â, âwhere were the angry mobs demanding decencyâ?

- establish a right to religious liberty
- roll back LGBTQ rights, including equal marriage in the name of religious liberty
- get Donald Trump off from prosecution for his crimes
The Republicans majorlty care about getting control over the Supreme Court and if it is their destiny to loose the Congress, they are willing to lose by a greater margin if that means holding a conservative Supreme Court majority for a generation or more.
We have to stop these carpet baggers in their tracks using every and any means possibleâŚ
Are you thinking some comment on human frailty and lack of decency, or excommunication?
âOne cannot go against the word of God.â
Disagree. It happens all the time. Which word? What God? Which interpretation? Whoâs listening? Who cares?
The only retribution we can count on will come from voters, but will they be heard? Will all the voters be allowed to vote or will the tally be twisted by voter suppression tactics? Who will count the votes and will the count be honest? The quote attributed to Stalin goes something like, âIt doesnât matter who votes. It matters who counts the votes.â
I personally donât think god is political, but a lot of people do and they think they know how god would vote. Their side, of course. We should hope to be protected from them.
