Louisiana authorities say that there was minimal damage because they built “higher and stronger” after learning from Katrina.
That is putting a Band-Aid on the problem/cause. Climate change has a verifiable effect on our planet including weather patterns like the hurricane season.
The fix is to stop adding to the problem first, then to reduce the human caused addition to it.
How many oil rigs have been shut down since Katrina or the Gulf spill even? Yeah, the unwillingness to deal with the real issue only exacerbates the problem and inevitable growth of it.
Mother Nature is on a roll and isn’t about to back down just because we are getting out of her what we put into her, or something like that.
