Discussion: Nashville Sex Club Seeks Approval To Open By Claiming To Be A Church

I love it. I hope they get tax exempt status too. Pray that away, Talibangelicals.

I think this is absolutely brilliant, and I hope more organizations follow their lead. Listen, if “Scientology” is a religion, who are we to question the validity of any other sect’s claim? It’s all bullshit, in my humble opinion, but sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Treat them all equally, or not at all. As the Bard once wrote,
" Let it work;
For 'tis the sport to have the enginer
Hoist with his own petard, an’t shall go hard
But I will delve one yard below their mines
And blow them at the moon.

Love it!

She said she will be watching to make sure the United Fellowship Center truly does operate as a church.

“I’ve heard many, many people say they’re planning to attend when it opens,” she said.

I’m sure she’ll have to make several very detailed and intimate inspections… watching is OK as long as you’re willing to take the sacrament in the end.

As the late great Frank Zappa said, “There’s a big difference between kneeling down and bending over!”

If a church is considered to be one by the amount of time its congregants spend on their knees, this is a church.

Scientology may or may not be a religion, in fact it may be just one gigantic cover for the rumored gayness of some its very high profile members. But so long as the members do no harm to others and are not harmed themselves, let it be.

Gotta give big thanks to the Bush admin that pushed through a measure - what was it 2002 - that treated all “churches” the same. It made those storefront “churches” legit as some cathedral church.

So next time you rise to the occasion at church, think of GW Bush!

Hey FauXians

The Foo has Sh*t.

There’s a crisis of logic in philosophical circles, where you can’t even offer a good reductio ad absurdum argument any more. Some dipstick will double down and take it as a personal challenge.

Sounds like a move republican politicians would do.So is the a tea party church? How old are the members retired 60 to 75 years old?

The Bard? I thought Shakespeare wrote that!

All rise and receive the sacrament.
