I was just about to post that the White House has thanked President* Tr*mp for his successful landing of the InSight probe on Mars, that could only have been accomplished by Republican tax cuts.
ETA: I can’t stand that hick Bridenstine’s goddamn face, much less him being the administrator of NASA. I loathe this guy and sincerely hope he’s canned by the next Dem president.

Especially when you know they’re helpless to affect the outcome because everything they’re responding to happened eight minutes earlier.
To human eyes, it would be more gray. They see a lot of artist impressions or processed images and think it’s rose-hued, I suppose.
Depends on the time of day. Can be anything from blue to violet to black, pink (rose hued), or orange.
Also color, as humans understand it, is not seen with the eyes; it’s interpreted with the brain.

I guess it’s a good thing there aren’t any sentient species on Mars…or I’d be sending them secret messages: “Dude, whatever you do, repel this alien invasion AT ALL COSTS! No pest is more persistent, nor more difficult to eradicate than an infestation of humans! Do not interact with them in any way, and definitely don’t try to befriend them! If you do, you WILL regret it!”
But I guess on the bright side, if they did welcome the humans with open arms, and befriend them, and help them get a foothold in the universe at large…we would probably create a special holiday to commemorate the occasion. I mean, the aliens wouldn’t be around to enjoy it, but at least it would help alleviate our own guilt.
