Discussion: NASA Reveals Captivating Photo Of Pluto's Nightside Skies

Discussion for article #238750

Awesome in so many ways. Pluto is definitely a planet. Chunks of rock aren’t nearly as spherical. I say “planet.” And my opinion matters (to my cat, but it still matters).

This is all so obviously being done on a soundstage in Van Nuys. It’s time for Ted Cruz to demand NASA be defunded.

All the snooze that’s snit to fit.

Please— it is NOT a satellite. A satellite is a body, either natural or artificial, which revolves around a larger body. The New Horizons is most assuredly not in orbit around any other body.

More money for science; less money for war!

TPM: When you report something that goes against common sense (like Pluto is too warm to have haze), you should explain it. Else leave it out of the story if you don’t understand it yourself.
