Discussion for article #246960
Condolences to Ron and Patty. Hopefully they will win in any battle to keep the ceremonies private.
Exactly, all my love to Ron and Patty, and nothing else to say.
She had a long life. I hope she’s with him - they had quite a close marriage.
She was a much better former First Lady than she was when she was in the White House. I think she was appalled by what happened to the GOP long about the time W was elected.
Condolences to the family.
Though likely to be somehow floated as another ®eason–
that BHO should not be allowed to nominate a jurist for the vacant SCOTUS seat.
As good as the others anyway.

I didn’t realize she was still around.
I wonder if Nancy’s astrologer saw this in her horoscope.
Sorry for the thread-jack, but Plucky and ValGalKY, I’m really interested in your views on this new polling data here:
Do 31% of African American Kentuckians really support Donald Trump? That seems unbelievable to me.
I’ll ask the same question I asked back in 2004: how could they tell?
CSPAN did a fascinating series on all the first ladies a couple of years ago and Nancy Reagan’s was especially interesting to me…

Just say NO!
Nancy Reagan was every bit as destructive to this country as her sainted husband. For example, her “Just Say No” campaign was the greatest disservice to reasonable drug education for youth — worse than DARE — dreamed up in the brain of a pharmaceutically addled no-nothing.
People do not escape culpability for the damage they’ve wrought simply by dying. I will miss her along the same lines as I’ll miss Fat Tony, though with markedly less glee.
Of course, now we’ll have 1,783 different conversations among the Beltway Villager Elders about how this is going to affect the Presidential Race of 2016.
How will this affect the presidential race? Not one fucking bit. There, Cokie. You can rest your fingers so you don’t break any of your Lee Press-On Nails while typing.
She saw it only if promised a tax cut.
Wasilla Kardashian is out shopping for a black tube top in case she’s invited to the funeral.
I hope Trump gives her eulogy, can’t think of anything more fitting to summarize her legacy.
I guess we can take her off the short list for the SCOTUS nom.
That’s a very weird poll and possibly just an outlier. Also, eastern Kentucky and West Virginia voters have been drifting away from reality for quite some time now. I wouldn’t put much stock in their opinions.
Scalia, Nancy…?
They say good things come in three’s?
I for one admire the closeness of the Reagan marriage. That’s to be respected.
I didn’t agree with Ronnie’s politics but I did like the way he could deliver a speech.
