This is a start, but what is really needed is impeachment proceedings to begin.
Excellent! Keep up the pressure! Just as the Dotard said, never forget!
If the Dems choose to sit on their hands now, the spirit and fervor gained in 2018 will fade away.
We desperately need a āwinā of some sort. Iām tired of being disappointed and disgusted.
good! letās get the fact finding and accountability started. subpoena not just the unredacted report but any any all witnesses necessary to get the real facts needed to counter the blizzard of bullshit coming from the WH.
Donāt trust Barr. Heāll have one redacted version after another. Another dishonest player in tRumpās world.
4 weeks after the Report was submitted to Barr, Nadler finally decides to issue a subpoena.
4 Weeks
Slooooow-walking.
Wants to wait another 4 weeks before Mueller testifies.
More Slooooow-walking.
Meanwhile, Rep. Cummings and Rep. Waters arenāt wasting time. They are firing off subpoenas without hesitation.
YEAH! This is GREAT NEWS and is soothing to my soul!
One Nadler isnāt enough - we need a pair of Nads!
I donāt know what all the pearl clutching is about Impeachment. I keep hearing about how much it hurt the GOP back in 1998. Big deal, they lost 5 seats in the House, but still kept a 12 vote majority. The Senate remained the same, 55 R ā 45-D, with some seats flip-flopping. Then, in 2000 we got W Bush. Keep in mind this all happened with Bill Clinton up around +70% in the polls. Trump has yet to crack > 45% in most polls other than Rasmussen. Iām assuming weād all take similar results in 2020, parties reversed. I know I would.
As PBO would say, āCāmon, man !ā
Obstruction is Trumpās second natureā¦ deception is his first.
Trumpās got more dirt than Iowa, he never knows WHICH crime they might be investigating.
Everyone who testifies for Nadlerās committee will offer a unique version of that generic obstruction from Trump.
His Presidential record should be labeled āThe Book of Lies.ā
When you try to think what is in the redacted portions think of these two things
-
How hard Barr is trying to protect the presidentā¦with his BS four page summary and defense attorney type press conference. Knowing full well it looks bad.
-
Considering #1 above, How damning the redacted report still is.
Yikes.
Huh? We just got the Mueller Report yesterday, and even the redacted version had a bunch of information that made Pres Individual 1 look bad and completely undermined Barrās attempts to whitewash. The google news headlines this morning were universally the kind I would expect to see with a halfway functioning MSM, so that in itself is a pretty big deal.
Imagine what the unredacted report will show. I think thereās a better than even chance congress gets it in the next couple of months.
Yo Jerry!
The political dynamic in terms of Trumpās supporters and detractors changed not a whit over all this. Iād bet a poll of approval/disapproval is identical today to one taken a week ago. You love him or hate him. Mueller may have provided fodder for efforts by the House and others to cause Trump a lot more trouble. But so far as the investigationās effect on the mood and tenor in the public square all thatās happened is the 60/40 split is maybe hardened and more entrenched, but essentially unchanged.
Weāve all kissed our sister, and walked away feeling odd, confused, unsettled and not quite sure what to make of it.
Agreed, but I do not think they will.
Investigations and Open Hearings in the House will continue to pound the president and damage Republicans for covering for them.
I donāt think it neccessary to jump on the impeachment train right away. It circles the wagons for Trump, makes him a martyr and gets Republicans juice flowing. Iād rather they be demoralized by constant drip of corruption coming to light.
Though Steney should have STFU about it and not been Debbie Downer on āMueller Dayā.
I hope when history is written, he gets, at most, one sentence, āserved as president 2017-? and impeached from office.ā
S/B āImpeached and removed from office.ā
Go Nads!
